I'm having a senior moment , took my air box off to replace some vacum lines underneath and I can't remember where one of the hoses goes to .... there is a surgicial hose that goes straight down , a stubby hose going into the crankcase , and the one inch OD hose , it shows in the book but not where it plugs into , it goes down and 90's and then points down with a oem clamp at the end .... can't remember where that one goes .... I know where all the other ones go ... Old Geezer needs a refresher HELP ! .... THANKS OLD GEEZER RICHARD

Hey Geezer are you talking about the hose that goes to the tank that holds the condensation from the crankcase? The straight hose goes from the crankcase to the condensate tank the surgical hose goes to the bottom of the tank and the hose your talking about goes from the air cleaner to the top of the condensate tank that is fastened to the engine support. The only other hose that is that diameter goes to the pair valve which you should take off and get rid of if you haven't already.

Hey Robert , the hose I'm trying to describe like I said is about an 1'' OD it drops straight down and 90's towards the front of the bike and then veers downward but to where ..... I have taken off the box before with no problem .... but this time its got me stymied .... Robert about that pare valve I've been thinking about desmoging the old girl but she's been running real smooth until the vacum lines got loose and came off ..... I'm not sure what all needs to come off without messing anything up .... now I've looked around the pare valve and I don't se anything with a coupler to plug into that particular hose ..... I know its right in front of me , but I don't see anything , DUH !!! I'm off friday from school so I'll be in the garage tinkering around so I can go ridin sat and sun before the rains come next week here in San Antonio , damn rain!!!! ..... I'll try and reach some friends who might be able to talk me thru it ... this can't that hard you ......... Thanks Old Geezer Richard

congrats Geezer, when I take a dash board apart on a car and have hoses and connections and alike all over the place and panic sets in then I have to sit back take a breath and start hose by hose, so I know what you are talking about. But as I said before you really should remove that pair valve its really easy and makes the top of the engine look better.

Hey Geeser,,,,,
Believe me I know how you feel. But at least you're willing to dive in and try some things. I had my air box out recently and was also considering doing the de-smog until I saw all of the ports that had to be plugged. No thanks! If I should find another Valkyrie rider that lives near me, and is knowledgeable regarding the mechanics of the bike, I'll pay him/her to deal with it. At this point in my life I want as few challenges as possible!
