It seems that over the years we have accumulated a few helmets. It seems I buy a helmet and it seems to be good for a little while and then they annoy me. we currently have 12 helmets. 2 shorties Vox, 2 full face Shoei RF1000, 2 modular Zeus 502 (don't use any more), 2 modular Zeus 3000B (love these), 2 CKX hemets for cold riding (very comfy) and two others that were bought a while ago and didn't use much. My wife is ready to kill me these days with the helmets. I was going to buy a couple of other helmets to replace the shorties but could not find anything I liked and that fitted nice, even though I may incur some wrath.

2, 3/4 a Showie and an Arai, 1 full face, a Showie, and a modular HJC. Then the same for the wife. So that would be 8.

Have a shelf across the back of the shed wall up high. There must be 7 or 8 up there (2 spousal units), plus a full face. One is a Bell Magnum from the late 60's and only used to hold things from blowing away. I only wear the Scorpion 100.
I am thinking a new helmet design that holds ice internally is in order.

Three. HJC Modular, HJC open-face, and a Fullmer Modular I bought from someone here. I wear the Fullmer 95% of the time. Nice, comfortable helmet.
Wife has a HJC full-face. Each daughter has an HJC Modular.
I guess that's 6, all together.
All of them have Scala Cardo communications - all mine, and the wife's are set up for G4's, the daughter's each have Q2's.

Are we counting the entire household and are we including dirt helmets?
8 dirt helmets, and 7 street helmets. But that is the entire family,, we got rid of 2 street helmets last winter and 3 dirt helmets also...

HJC Full as seen in avatar, but replaced that a while ago with Shark Evoline and I'm thinking the next one will be Evoline Series 2. Finally a modular that really can be used in both positions. Only whine I have about the helmet is that I really had to cut all padding out in order to fit the headset speakers. But then again I do have a big noggin. In many ways. . Cheers!

One X11 with around 4 1/2 years and 40+k on it... it is getting kind of ratty... There's something called a X12 now... I looked at Shoei's flip up helmet in a shop the other day... lots of $ and no internal flip down sun shield...

I have six, can't stand 5 of them, never been worn on the bike. Only one that I will wear, that's my Nolan Cruise. Comfortable, light weight, zip out ear and neck curtain and a visor which is a MUST for me. Been looking for sometime now for a replacement and have sent several back after ordering. They just don't jazz me for one reason or another. Several here have recommended the Scorpion 100. I have heard such rave notices by owners of this helmet that I researched it a little. The reviews are pretty much the same, all good news. Now I just have to try one on for fit and look. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/38/6973/ITEM/Scorpion-EXO-100-Solid-Helmet.aspx

I have three, 3/4 helmets. Two are Scorpions, one black, one white (I love the drop down visor). The other is a lower end Nolan (white) with a full face clear wind screen. I usually wear the white Scorpion.

One Nolan N41 open face, one Nolan 100 Flip up, one Nolan 102 Flip up.
Depending on the weather, I chose which one to wear.

I have one that I wear. I have an older one of the same model that I am holding for the visor and parts.
My wife has one.
I have two older helmets of different styles that I keep for carrying various passengers when needed.
I also have a non-DOT air brushed lid that I wore as a youngster but now won't let anyone use it.
So, put me down for four.

I use a Scorpion EXO 100 half helmet most of the time. If cold or expecting heavy rain, a Shark Evoline 2. That's 2 that I use, plus I have a couple or three odd helmets if my wife or someone else wants an occassional ride.

I don't like the way that it looks (way too bulky). I had this one from HJC in my hand the other day and was about to buy it: http://www.bikertrends.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=392when I spotted another one that had TWO drop down shields. I can't remember the manufacturer but if you give this guy a call or E-mail I'm sure that he can tell you: http://www.bikertrends.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=392This is the website for the local guy that has that helmet. The bulk of his business is internet and I have found him to be very good to deal with. In addition to having both a clear and a tinted drop down shield the helmet that I looked at was VERY light (a big plus for me). His prices are also very hard to beat, the reason that I didn't buy the one with the two visors the other day was that he didn't have a black one in my size. He said that he'd have some in this week. His price was $89

I have an RF1000 for the wife, an HJC for my daughter and a spare Veymar that I got somewhere. I Have a Vega 1/2 helmet which is what I wear on shorter rides or lazy cruises, a custom painted Shoei RF800 that's no longer wearable, an Arai RX7RR4 Kocinski that was my old daily wear lid (and I keep as a backup) and another RX7RR4 KRJr that I replaced it with that I now rarely wear. So, 7.

Between the better half and me, we have 6, and only use two of them, the sad thing is that all the old helmets are most likely not safe anymore but throw them away?? NO just put them in the garage and look at them once in a while. Curently wearing Shubert C2's Modular, heavy but good protection for my airhead and Momma' smarts.

6 - 3 His and 3 Hers.
2 Nolan N43 (3/4 + removable chin bar) 2 Nolan N42 (3/4) 2 HJC CL21 (Half)
All in black
Of course each models needed a different style headset, so when we just bought the N43s we couldn't use the headsets from N42s... doubled the price of the helmets...... Sigh

Outer shield had a retainer tab break on only the second time it was removed (bought it in 2009). I contacted them about a replacement and also asked about the known issue with the series 1 inner sun shield scratching with normal use....they sent a new outer shield and one of the newly designed series 2 sun shields (larger for more coverage and fixed the scratching issue), both completely free of charge. FYI they do carry different thicknesses of pads at about $35 a pair.

1 Shoei that lasted 5 years before the inside padding wore out.
1 Shoei that lasted 1 year before a careless driver took a few inches of paint off of it for me.
1 Z1R that lasted 6 months (MONTHS) before the seals shrunk and pulled away from the shell. (I still have the Z1R... I want another Shoei....)
