Hide your credit card son , or fake a chest pain quickly.

Or suffer the consequences of shopperdom.

When she hands you "The Purse" start going through it. You'll never have to hold it again.
Nothing will prevent you from sitting in "the Chair" however.

I don't end up in the Chair often but, last time out, I sat in the danged thing so long that a sympathetic sales clerk asked if she could bring me a coffee.

Stanely, we like Harbor Docs.  Its not real fancy and the neither are the prices (comparitively speaking) and its right on the water.  Go west from where you are on HWY 98 when you see Big Kahuna's water park on your right, get ready its a mile or two more west and its gonna be on your left.  The restauraunt sits off the road a bit so you have to LOOK to see it but it its  a great fish place

Boy......you guys.  I get a real kick out of seeing the guys that are afraid to go into "those" stores.  Standing by the entrance,  holding bags, trying to look disinterested.........    Roll Eyes    I will walk right into the Bath and Body Works or Victoria's Secret with my wife.  You know why?  24 out of 25 people in there are female.   I will sniff candles and handle panties all afternoon while checking out the scenery.   cooldude

Come back soon now....ya hear!   cooldude

btw Stanley.....If your not really a beach person, the fall and the spring are really the best times to be here.  It starts to cool off then.  But even then, the beach makes for a nice walk and visit as it's not too warm and not too cool......and not as crowded.  The temps are usually down a bit by then and the humidity is usually lower then too.

The entire month of October each year is the fishing rodeo.  You can hang out at the weigh-ins at AJ's and walk the whole length of the docks and watch the boats come in.  Or, you can book a charter right from the docks.

http://www.destinfishingrodeo.org/areainfo.html

Thunder beach is twice a year....once in the fall and once in the spring.  It's a nice hour ride over to Panama City Beach for that.

In the fall, there's all kinds of festivals and fairs to go to 'round here.  Best of which might just be the Mullet Festival.  It's about the fish....not the haircut.   Wink  Some pretty big name bands have played at the Mullet Festival in the past.

http://mulletfestival.com/index.htm

You came at the biggest tourist time of the year...next to the 4th of July weekend.  It's boilin' hot and every tourist from the southest and beyond is here this time of year.

Come back when you can stay awhile and maybe we can hook up for breakfast and take ride around the bay when it's cooler.

We took a ride down the coast towards PCB last night....CR-30?....went through several small communities........we stopped in Seaside, FL.....they had a very neat little town there....the Wife said "this place looks like the Truman Show"......a female riding friend of mine who used to live in that area said that is where it was filmed...figures....

We rode back West and stopped at Blue Mountain Beach.....ate at a place called Nick's at the Beach...pretty good stuff....I had their shrimp and scallops....wife had some kind of grilled fish that was good....

We figured out that the best time to come back was after Labor Day at least....after schools are back in.....and this time, we will take some time to reserve a nicer place to stay....we saw a few good places that interested us.....we took the Glass Bottom Boat Dolphin tour.....and ate at the Dancing Iguana Friday for lunch....it'd be nice to stay there at the REALLY Swanky Harbor Walk tower.....but at &450/night,  I just can't justify that kind of $$ for a place to stay..... Shocked

We want to try that McGuire's Irish Pub next time.....it and the Bubba Gump shrimp co. were just too crowded.... Sad

the heat wasn't as bad as it is back here.....and
