I have no opinion to share on the topic of the video. I am sharing because we have not seen a vigorous, name calling thread in a day or so. Purportedly, the original youtube video was removed by "them". I cannot and do not give a rats rosy if that is true. The attached video comes thruogh canada (I do not state that as fact, only how I recieved it).

If you did not go to Harvard then you are not smart enough to run the country.
Well the present Harvard grad is not fairing so well.
In fact he is failing miserably.
Congress will get it going and the Pres will just be along for the ride, as he has on every issue.
Just do something and I will pass it worked when Dems had control of all the Branches, not doing so good now.
Now he is having to take action and just can't seem to cut a deal.

It goes back to when de-regulattion of the banking and mortgage industry started. It's all gone down hill ever since. You can do your own homework to find out when that happened and place your blame on whichever political party of your choice (hint....it's ALL of them). Basically, with less and less regulation, the fox has been left in charge of the hen house and they've all gone giddity with unfettered and un-regulated greed ever since. What we have now is a Wall Street government. The same thing has happened within the airline industry too. It's also the problem with Washington.....no regulation....no oversite over those that spend the money.

My last comment on this thread: I find it interesting that Cynthia Boaz mentions that Fox talks about Saul Alinski. A lot of her propaganda techniques that she accuses Fox of doing are very similar to the things that Alinski says are his rules in his book "Rules for Radicals".
Heck her rules are used by ALL news outlets that I have seen. Including the "news outlet" that she writes for, the Huffington Post.
I think our current president used most of them himself in his campaign, which is still going on apparently!

Back to the question, who is at fault? Congress is. If Congress wanted to balance the budget they would, because they can. It they wanted to do something about the deficit, they would because they can. They want to scare everyone with talk of cutting medicare, social security and other programs that really benefit the American citizen; yet they say nothing of cutting all the money given to other countries. Money that does no good for the American taxpayer, yet money he has to pay for. Why have all our jobs been sent to other countries; because Congress made it happen. Why do we have illiegal aleins running rampant in America; because Congress want them here. The reason we have a deficit and do not have a balanced budget is because Congress wants it that way. All the presidents and all the president's men (Congress) are responsible. They are all to blame. Simple isn't it?!

Who's at fault; every administration in your lifetime! The first 2 years of this one spent and/or obligated us to spend more than the previous 200+ years combined. No one can tax, spend and borrow themselves to prosperity.
Any 3rd grader, back when I was a 3rd grader anyway, could have seen this coming and taken corrective action. Those who simply turn it into a Bush/Obama issue, are fools. Sadly, there are many fools who vote.

this grand Idea started back in the Days of Clinton, everyone should own a home. (even if they can't afford it)
it does have alot of leftist ideals to it, but there is plenty of blame to go around. who was in office and signed the affordable housing act into law? i think it might have been bush.
want to blame Wall Street? most seem to think that the street is ran exclusively by right wing cigar smoking capitalist, well there are plenty of left wingers there too. like the CEO of goldman sachs Lloyd Blankenfein. he was in and out of the white house more then ANYONE else in 2009. G/S contributed 1 million bucks to Obama's campaign, he was just looking after his investment.
mostly they sold wall street on the debts because they were going to be backed and secured by the government. the whole thing crashed by the sheer number of bad loans imploded the market.
there were legislators that voted to push this legislation that made it possible for the crash. then they retired from Washington shorted the market and made millions, want to guess which party they used to be in?
