Shortleg - I've never been to Inzane, you must be thinking of somebody else.

Fire me any questions you might have about the bike, I'll be happy to answer them.

Wow, that's exactly the kinda Valk I was looking for a few years ago and gave up.  Just never saw the right one.  Had I not recently added a second bike in my garage, I'd be bidding hard on this one!  I actually forwarded the link to my wife and she said buy it!  I think she's just testing me to see if I'll be completely irresponsible.  I'm not taking that bait!  Damn her!  (best wife in the world! LOL)  Good luck with the sale.   cooldude

BID TIME ALMOST EXPIRED.  ANY OTHER MEMBERS AWARE OF THIS VALKYRIE?  IT SURE SEEMS LIKE A GREAT DEAL.  ANY SUPERCHARGER RIDERS WITH ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS SYSTEM?  I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH SUPERCHARGERS, BUT SINCE OLD PARTS GO WITH THIS BIKE I GUESS I COULD PUT IT BACK TO ORIGINAL SHAPE.  STILL A GOOD DEAL.

Mark,  Because of the friends I have met on this board and different VRCC events I know for a fact you can be a member here after you sale your Valk.  The vast majority of people here are GREAT with a couple of hard heads mixed in to keep things interesting.   2funny  Good luck with your sale.

I wish I had an extra $6500 laying around.  I'd be all over this bike (and probably divorced  2funny ).

Tom, that looked like a great "BUY" I could have stayed with you overnite and rode home the next day. BUT, I think that would have a "money hole"  for me.  Roll Eyes Been there , I wish the buyer luck with his new found toy.  Wink

Scary thing to have a zero feedback buyer winning your auction. I hope everything pans out. The winner with 0 feedback has been bidding on 11 different auctions and has made 61 bids. Just doesn't look good.

You might want to put a stipulation that a bidder must have a feedback rating of 10 or so to keep the 12 year olds from bidding...Good luck this time around!

for all those people that thinks a 0 number on bidder profile is bad, you may rethink that.  I have a 0 every time I bid because I was hacked or whatever you call it thru the ebay system.  it is way safer to start over every time.  i know an ebay purchase is a purchase that sometimes has bad consequences but seriously maybe not anymore than any other type of advertised sale.

As spookshow will attest, his bike is nice but there was a misquote of certain issues with it as well.  the buyer was ready to execute that transaction but to find some discrepancies with the ad caused a mutual understanding to cancel the sale and move on.

the moral is, as I see it, please dont disuade a 0 buyer.  That person may have made plenty of transactions both as purchaser and seller (both I have done).  And yes I am the 0 buyer on this cancelled transaction.  I have bought 2 Valkyries on ebay and will buy plenty more before I am done.

Yeah, that was my screw-up. I have a box full of leftover stock parts that I was going to toss in as part of the sale, but I mistakenly wrote that I had "all" the stock parts (which is nowhere near true). The new listing has been revised to clarify that.

Soooo Mark, owning a bike like yours, would you consider it a money pit? I would like to own it because of what it is but, i would also want to ride it every day. With all that power your not tearing up the tranny. I know a couple harley guys that have 120's and they are tearing up their trannys. I know you
can't compare the two bikes. Are those hard miles?

Well, it was definitely a money pit getting it to where it is now. I'm sure I put at least $10K worth of mods into it shortly after buying it new. But as far as any sort of ongoing "money pit" expenses, no. I keep up with the regular maintenance and that's it - no mechanical problems whatsoever. Plus, I'm not real crazy with the thing (well, not very often anyway)  laugh

Seriously though, I mainly use it to ride back and forth to work in the summer (and lately, not even that). I've been sinking all my fun money into making my Trans Am go faster, so the Valk has been gathering dust in my garage all summer.

If I had a high-ticket item for sale that was "won" by a bidder with 0 feedback I would be very worried. If you were selling you would feel the same, I think. If I were starting out with little or no feedback I would contact the seller prior to bidding.

I'm always worried when I sell a high-ticket item, regardless of the bidder's feedback rating  Shocked

Still, if you want to get rid of something relatively quickly and are willing to take whatever you can get, eBay (warts and all) is pretty much the only game in town.

I'm actually kind of surprised people think it's worth so much. Given the age and mileage, I was thinking maybe $5K tops. Shows you what I know  uglystupid2

I felt the same way about 0 feedback buyers when I sold my Rocket 3 years ago. Not only was the guy a 0 feedback buyer he was in Portugal!! He used Buy it Now & I was very skeptical.
Anyways, the guy turned out to be an Englishman with the official title of "Sir". The transaction was good & despite my hard headedness went very well. He wanted to wire me the money directly to my bank account & I was very wary of that. But my banker said just set up a seperate account, have him transfer the money to it then wait 24 hrs & transfer it to my regular account. Worked like a charm. About a week after the transaction the shipper came by the house to pick it up. I had to Fed-Ex the title & a Bill of Sale overnight to Ft. Lauderdale. Never met the guy.

At one time I had the bike, the title, & all the money so no risk on my part.  cooldude
Sniff..... going bye-bye!

Moral of the story, you never know about a buyer!

Mark, you think the bike can be ridden across country? I don't want a bar bike. Something I can ride every day. I don't know much between a turbo versus super charger which is harder on the motor. I think once the motor broke, will cost a lot to get another motor and all the extra's needed to put it
back together.

if a bidder that has 0 feedback does not contact me first, his bid is erased,, also any feedback below 95% is deleted unless i am contacted first..i have 100% feedback and proud of that fact,,

This isn't some sort of dragstrip-only specialty bike. It's a fine every day driver that can be treated like any other Valkyrie - it just happens to go a lot faster than most Wink

39K miles with the blower and not a single mechanical problem so far. And as long as whoever buys it keeps up with the regular maintenance, burns premium gas and doesn't use stupid settings on the ICM it should stay that way  cooldude

I cant figure out why just because of a typo(something as stupid as not have ALL the stock parts) would void a sale of a bike like this. jeezuz the bike is worth alot more than 6500$. kinda burns my goat. I would sell as the stock crap and keep the bike the way it is anyway. If I had the money, id ride out and buy it today just because is a nice clean (supercharged) bike that will last as long as I take care of it.

Some people have no idea about this stuff and shouldnt bid if they didnt get themselves informed. I dont trust any 0 bidders. I dont care what the excuse. Ive been beat by 0 feedback bidders and it wont happen again. If they aer truly honest, they will contact seller to explain why before they bid. simple as that.

I hope you get more than 6500 for that bike this time. its worth more than that..
and supercharged valks hold thier own very well. not just in performance but in dependability also. of course, fuel mileage sux but, hey, its a trade off.

My supercharged monster. couldnt sel it cuz nobody will pay what i want for it. good luck mark.

Thanks, Dogg. I see you have the old J-tube setup on yours. You might want to take a look at the new carb setup from Magnacharger - bolts right to the blower and does away with the J-tube and fuel pump. Overall horsepower is the same, but you get it much quicker (especially in the first three gears). Gas mileage is better too - up around 30 mpg.

Awesome looking bike, though!   cooldude

My guess was the buyer was thinking what I was thinking.  Buy the bike, remove the blower, return it to stock with all the stock parts.  Sell bike and blower separately (and make a fairly quick $3500 - $4000) or sell the bike stock and get an almost free blower for your bike.

Even with all the parts, returning it back to stock would be extremely difficult (if not impossible). For starters, the timing belt cover has a huge chunk removed from the middle in order to accommodate the blower pulley belt. And that's just one thing...

I worked out a deal with a guy ($6500) to end the auction early. He already has a supercharged Valkyrie and knows what they're all about, so there shouldn't be any problems completing the deal.
