Interesting concept.... I like the idea personally.    Grin    But.... figure the odds of BO or others doing that.   He has not even sent his illegal alien Aunt back to her home country.   And ya have not even heard much about it either..... Angry

Jill and I are going to emigrate to Japan, get paid to go home, and use part of the dough to buy another identity from whatever forger supplies the wetbacks, and emigrate again.

Work. Travel.  Tough times to be in the business of managing capital projects... there aint none.

Took a 10 day motorcycle trip from Hanoi, Vietnam to Vientiane, Laos... pics up soon... 650 Urals in Vietnam, Honda 250 Baja's in Laos... not too shabby.

Mostly fed up with arguing on this forum... but FM finally yanked my chain.

About what I would expect for a reply... what language is that?  'Cracker'?  'Wetback'?  'Dipshit'?

Did I mis-characterize your post?  Seriously, you want to tell me that 'wetback' is not a racist term?  My ears are open.

Cheers.

I was thinking maybe "racists" or "cracker" (a term you either use misused or just don't understand) could have been a personal attack.  "Dipshit" is just a funny little term I use for people who talk on the cell phone while driving, or insist on concentrating on how something is being said, rather than what is being said.
"Wetback" describes people who are in the US illegally.  I understand Democrats have a problem with the concept of legal vs illegal.
Since your President was elected largely by blacks who customarily stay away from the polls, and  since Congressmen in your party try to put a racial spin on the Constitutionally approved acts of my state's Governor, and since said President has never suggested an end to the immoral practice of Affirmative Action I'd say that the "Obama era" is based on racism.
I must have missed your criticism of Japan for paying legal immigrants to go home (haven't read that they have much of a problem with their politicians courting the illegal kind).  I guess I could search for it but I've invested way more time than I ever planned answering the  comments of the  Politically Correct.

President Obama "was elected largely by blacks who customarily stay away from the polls".
Well, Blacks, African-American, or whatever is the politically correct (pun intended) term to call us (yes, I'm one of them) accounting for 13% of the entire voting demographic in 2008.
89% of Democrats voted for Obama with 10% voting for McCain, conversely 89% of Republicans voted for McCain with 10% voting for Obama. So, according to these (below) stats it looks as if  the higher percentage of non-blacks (I guess we can call them off-white) voting for Obama than the white (off-non-black, I guess) voting population voted for McCain.

Exit Polls taken on 11/4/08
        Size - Obama - McCain - Other
Black  13% - 95% -  4% -  1%
Hispanic 9% -  67% -  31% -  2%
White 74% - 43% - 55% - 2%
Asian 2% - 62% - 35% - 3%
Other 3% - 66% - 31% - 3%

I'm sure there can be an argument/debate/discussion on whom was/is best to run this country...and arguement that has been going on since G. Washington.

As far as affirmative action being immoral: As I understand it affirmative action is a policy or a program that seeks to redress past discrimination through active measures to ensure equal opportunity, as in education and employment. I wonder what past discrimination could the country be trying to right? What wrongs could have possibly been perpertrated against people of color that would even give birth to affirmative action?

Affirmative action is a program of opportunity, it is not a program of discrimination. No. A program of discrimination would be one that states people of a certain color or ethnic background count as less than a person or people of another.

Segregation would not have been necessary had it been otherwise

I guess it all comes down to perspective: 40 acres and a mule or 50 states and the white house.

Racism, Wetback, Cracker and Dips*it??

Wont work here at all.  How many Brazilian nationals entered Japan by just stepping across the border.  NONE.
Second, why would they want to leave this country.  They have more rights in this country than I do.....I was born in this country.
Again, they have free food, free medicine, free housing, free social security, etc.  They dont pay taxes.  Will never happen.
And when the Mexican President threatens to take your government to its own courts and sue it, IF the national guard is deployed on the border and they arrest or detain any Mexicans trying to cross that border.  Their reason being, the national guard is not a "border protection" agency.   There is something inherently wrong with that.
So NO it wont work here.
Oh and my statement to AA.  For the record, I AM the MOST discriminated against person in this country.  I am a white(1)  middle class(2) and male(3).  I can have better credentials, a better work history, and more experience for a position.  But if a quota is needed to be met...and there ALWAYS is one.....someone without a clue will get the position.  Doomed to fail, the company then needs to find 2 people to be their underling and do the work just because of some missplaced "social conscience" issue.  The same thing will happen in higher education as well.
And here in So Carolina, the furor that went up when the black caucus stormed out of the legislative session "in protest", because a bill was introduced to require a picture ID be presented when a person votes.  This being found to be needed because of "voter fraud".  The reason the caucus left the floor "in solidarity"???  Because this brings back "the days of the 50's and 60's with voting tests, etc."  No one said you had to take a test, just show a valid photo ID when voting.  Goes for white people too.
So just because Nobama is in office, does not fix anything.  However it would appear it should, the constant call of "equality" has been met to the absolute degree.
So please dont sit back and use the "race" card.  Racism exists EVERYWHERE.
And also, Nobama is definitely making up for any attrition posed against the "color" side of his family.  He is bankrupting this country and subjecting it to every other nation on the face of the earth.  I believe this more than makes up for slavery.  OK I said it.....slavery.  And speaking of slavery, historically, what is going on in Africa right now has been going on for centuries.  Ethnic cleansing, tribal killings, tribal hatreds.  Sound pretty racist to me.  And so the tribes decided back then and today as well, why kill your enemy, sell them to the Dutch and English traders and make some profit off of em.  And today, they sell their enemies to slave markets IN Africa today.  So dont be mad at me.
My advice is get over it and get on with your life.

I went through it too. I went short staffed for almost two years because I was told I HAD to fill my open positions with minorities. I didn't even have any minority applicants to choose from, no minorities were applying. I finally did find one guy, he said he was working on his degree in electrical engineering, I hired him to fill an open position in our Maintenance dept. After he started working for me we found out that he could not read a tape measure. We couldn't even teach him how. His solution was a digital tape measure.
I tried to fire the guy twice for work quality, the company wouldn't allow it, apparently even union rules didn't apply to him.
After I left the company they replaced me with a minority. He promoted the fraction challenged guy to supervisor. It only took a few months of costly incompetence, he had to fire him. The company forced him to fire him based on job performance. It was OK if the minority manager fired the minority employee.
I'm working in Orlando now. Starting a new plant. I was able to hire my own team without any restrictions. I have 80 percent minorities, and I have the best crew I have ever assembled.  It didn't take laws to get them hired on here, it took job skills.

in 20-years (or less) ours will be the most ignorant major nation in the world. We don't/expect our children to know anything or to meet any type of academic  "standards". To do so would be considered racist. How terribly sad for our country....what happened to us?? ( a rhetorical question)
