I have to be honest...I've been looking at buying a new bike...I have a 2000 I/S that has 110K miles on it...saw the new Goldwings and thought to myself there's a sweet bike that's ready to ride...no vaporlock to worry about...no cracked pods to worry about...ujoints that are actually available...cruise control....reverse....built-in GPS...

but I love my I/S...and even more importantly, my wife likes it and is starting to ride more with me...would love to keep my I/S and use it for 2-up and trips if I could find a bike I could ride around town...that would work!

saw this bike on the internet this morning and saw the price and said that has to be a typo...so I called to see...nope, no typo...still available too...

thought about 15 minutes...called back...worked out a deal and used my credit card to pay a downpayment...SOLD!   cooldude

Now I have to tell the wife... Undecided

Congrats. Yes and No. I was going to buy it becuase it was such a great deal even though I was not shopping for another Valk. I think after you factor out all the accessories, you get the bike for about a grand. I am happy a Valk enthusiast and VRCC member got it. Enjoy It.

That looks like a bike recently for sale in Orlando Florida. Blue, Corbin gunfighter, Corbin Beetlebags and sidecovers. (is that from Florida?)
Congratulations cooldude

I especially like the seat and paint job.

Good addition to your stable.

Well I guess that works out perfect for you....you were looking to solo out the I/S at one time, now you don't have to.. Smiley  That bike will be great for running around town, easy handling, not too heavy and you can still take the wife 2 up on the I/S....looks good to me... cooldude.....don't ya love it when a plan works out.. Grin...good luck with the new ride, its a looker..the man likes blue... Grin

Yeeeaaaaahhhhhhh!!!   The wife was kewl with it...well, after she looked at the pics and I told her about the low mileage (23K)....how much the custom paint job added to the value....how buying it was going to save the I/S from getting all that extra mileage on it, allowing us to use it more for trips and just cruising together.... cooldude

Actually, I think it was the $4999 purchase price that got her approval!   Roll Eyes
