You guys and gals take it easy going to Inzane.

It will be hot for a while till you get there to Ground Zero.

Same reason that most areas East of the Rockies are sweltering Hot every Summer.  A dome of  mostly stagnet dirty hot air (not you Al) is lingering in place and is so enormous that Low Pressure areas can't kick it out to Sea.
