The VILLAGES Fl - Town of Custom Golf Carts 5-22-11 CBS Sunday Morningpowered by Aeva

I liked the 57 Chevy and the Mustang.

The one with the Hot Rod Growl was kind of cute also.

There are some very cool golf carts in The Villages.....visited my father-in-law a few times and was impressed with the numbers and different styles/customs available.  Not a bad way to travel down there - cars are a pain as the majority of folks use the carts and pretty much run the place.  Sending this link down to him to see how many he recognizes......thanks RJ....

Heheh...now that looks like fun! If I ever get to the point again where I get cold easily I might think about that one. I want a Morgan Aero 8!!! Maybe I can even get my short game up to par...lol.

RJ, we've visited there a couple times, trying to talk my wife into looking at a house up there but her answer; "I don't want to move up there with all those old people."  I asked her if she'd checked her birth certificate lately....we are them.  Cheesy

As for those golf carts, they're like dog crap in the Spring when the snow melts....it's everywhere!!  And they do sorta run the show up there, you think you've spotted a parking spot and when you get there....voila, it's a darn golf cart. And they expect you to watch out for them. I told one jerk if he was going to drive it on the streets, he had better observe the same rules I do because in a contest my SUV will win hands down.

Here is my favorite one.  I saw it at Republic of Texas rally last month.

Now that is neat.    Like it, but damn thing wouldn't fit in the little garage door.

Friend of mine's son, they live in Peachtree City, GA, - has a golf car repair business.      That's about all they run around in there also.     He started out as a single person working out of his dad's basement 6 years ago.   Today he has a staff of 12 and they are booked up and usually have a 2 weeks out for appointments.      He wants to move to a bigger building but is afraid to make the jump with the economy the way it is.
