So I have decided to replace the oil in the Forks.
I did not disassemble the forks I only opent the tops of them and let them drain over night.
is it possible to just add the oil in the tubes or should I use a rubber hose to stick down inside the tubes and then add the fluid thru this hose.
I will be measuring the volume of the oil before adding so I get the proper amount of ounces in each tube.
Please advise!!
Thanks for your input.

Gregg,

I am sure others will chime in and fill in any gaps I may leave, but since I just rebuilt my leaking right fork (again) last night...

Unless you totally take down the fork, there will still be enough residual oil that a volume measure may overfill the fork. Best bet is to use 1-2 oz less, then use a mighty-vac or big syringe with a measured hose to draw out oil down to the listed measurement.

As for filling, just pour the oil in as best you can, with a small funnel, or a thin stream taking your time.

See the chart below for the measurements for oil level, with fork fully compressed.

I have added 22 oz to the right side the side with the Damper.
25 oz to the Left side.
Upon intial compression of the forks all seems rather uniform.
I guess a road test will be the ultimat tell tail.
More to come after monday after the res of the parts arrive.
Thanks
