The Challange Tour starts Tuesday morning at the BP station just before you enter town. Ifyou are heading north on M88 it is less than a mile from the Shanty Creek Main entrance. The BP is located next to Glens Market and across the street from McDonalds. Damselfy will be on a SuperValk with our dog and I will be on my 98 "Rat Rod"; we will be easy to spot.

We will assemble at 8:30 AM to fill our tanks and leave at 9:00 AM sharp. Please set your trip-meters to zero and be prepared to be amazed by the scenic views and curvy roads. But we will also encounter some traffic in Traverse city and in small towns like Northport, but there will be great views of Grand Traverse Bay and the serinity of the Leelanlau Peninsula. We will stop for lunch and a stop at a winery is also on the adgenda.

There will be gas stations along the route for those that may get a bit nervous about their mileage, but rest assured that no will be left behind. A good time will be had by all.

NO WAGERING OR EXHIBISTIONISM!
NO BELLY TANK EITHER! Grin

Set up a 159.5 (+/- 0.5) mile loop through some twisties, hills, orchards, vineyards, lakes, bats, small towns and of course Traverse City.

The tour will start and end at the BP station. That way your milage and fuel usage can be compared.
There will be times that we may have to slow down due to deer, bicyclists, farm tractors, and rubbernecking tourists in cars. But those that come will be impressed with the roads and the milage your bike is truely capable of.

Just be at the BP at 8:30 and we will leave at 9:00 AM.

Well the guys I ride with don't brag about the mileage thing.

The Wild Bunch gets sucky mileage becasue we let it all hang out when ever we get a chance and John Law ain't around.

ANy body can putt around and get a few more miles out of a tank.

It takes a professional to do what we do and not get dead.
