3K+ road trip about 1/2 way i noticed at idle a strange noise.  It sounds like a turn signal but a deeper boinking sound.  It is consistent in time like a turn signal.  Sound seems to come from middle of the engine.  Didn't affect the performance at all just a strange noise I never heard before.  Could it be in the smog perhaps??

Reed valve maybe?

Does it change with engine speed?? I'm assuming the noise is while standing still.. It could be the pair valve assembly or a vacuum leak..
