I have them on mine and really like them. Some folks have reported that they have
cracked their pods at the mounting point; but in two years I have not had that
problem.

I have had them on the Interstate since almost day one. I had them on my Tourer and liked them so much I bought them for the Interstate.

YES
I took off the fixed piece a few years ago for summer riding and never bothered to put it back on
If you are gonna get caught in a thunderstorm and have a few minutes to put em back on they do deflect the rain off you that would be coming up from below the fairing
One of the best investments you can make other than the russell day long IMHO
