I'm waiting on an answer to an email I sent, found it curious(?) he has a Canadian Yahoo address but the bikes are in Arkansas. So I'm wondering if any of our Canadian folk know of him, who he is, don't have a last name....just the email addy and his first name. I guess it's possible he comes south for the winter, but Arkansas? We have a couple winter transplants here in Florida from north of the border, always enjoy having them show up for rides. Been doing it for years. One is a former pilot so we often have some nice chats about our "Top Gun" experiences of years gone by.  Wink

What Marty said. I guess if this starts to go anywhere, you'll know the drill.

I know we all have them, but web-based email addresses give me pause in any dealings. Anyone, anywhere, can get an addy. Doesn't mean the guy is in Canada. Go for a phone number; that's usually my own starting point.

Some, like me use a web based email address due to not wanting to need to try and remember to notify everyone if my email address changes becasue I changed service providers.

I don't know the guy, but Cabot is near Little Rock Air Force Base, which is right outside of Jacksonville, Ark. Both of my sisters live in the Cabot area. It is full of retired military people form all over the world. I wouldn't be bothered by the Canuck e-mail address.

My feelings exactly when I first saw the post, but I decided to at least send him a note. So far....no response. I'm interested in the parts bike if it's an honest deal. Due to my wife's health I can't travel just now so looking around for a decent project, doing something I know how to do and can work on it here at home to occupy my time. In any case, nobody gets a dime from me until we're face to face and the item is sitting in front of me.

I'll give him "benefit of the doubt" for a few more days, then figure "suspicions confirmed" if I don't hear from him.
