Daniel, can you Please change the location of our Cookout on the registration page?
It will be in Winnsboro, Texas    NOT Arlington, Texas!!
Can you also ask Scott in Oklahoma to do the the same on the registration page on the National Board?
I don't want someone coming to Arlington for the Cookout when it won't be there.
Thanks for your help.
Our address in Winnsboro is 854 CR4590 Winnsboro, Tx. 75494.
Also if you could mass e-mail of all the state members that would help.
The dates are Sept. 26-28th.
This is from a previous post.........
I know it's getting close to the Cookout and I have not posted any info on a motel.
I am still working out the details with the manager but, I will give you the info I have.
This is a very clean and nice motel, Catfish and I have stayed here many times.
It has a cafe next door and the food is good.
Motel info:
Trails Country Motel
500 E. Coke Rd. (Hwy 515)
Winnsboro, Texas 75494
Phone: 903-342-9026
e-mail: www.lodgingus.com
The rate will be somewhere in the $40-$50 range, don't hold me to this but that is what it should be.
When you call tell them you are with the VRCC to get the discount. As soon as I know the rate I will post it.
The cut off date will be September 15th for the rate, so don't wait to long as this motel only has 21 rooms.
Schedule of events for this year will be:
Friday Sept. 26th...A ride thru some great east Texas backroads. Leave our place at 9:30 am. arrive back at 12:30 pm. Lunch at our place around 1pm. Smoked Boudin, and hot links. BS session and then a ride into Winnsboro for shopping, lookin', eatin' and a return ride around Lake Winnsboro.
Topped off with a bon fire at the house.
Saturday Sept. 27th...Tech session with Daniel Meyer starting at 10am with a wrench party following. Bring your parts, I will furnish the jack and tools, just keep it fairly simple.
BS session & self guided rides. Games also and the Bar B Q dinner at 6:30pm followed with another bon fire.
Sunday Sept. 28th. Depart for home.
Hope to see a great turnout to help us celebrate our 5th year with the Cookout and our 1st year at our new home in the woods.
So sign up on the VRCC page so I can get an accurate count for buyin the meat.
I will send everyone a map via e-mail
Thanks Texas Ranger and Catfish.

Hey TR...Scott will have to change the page. I'll get with him and get it done.

Mean time, I've "stickied" this thread so it will stay at the top of the board so folks can get the info.

Looks like I may get out of Iraq in time to make the cook out!  Bike could really use the wrench party, too.  Fingers crossed.

OK, I need help.  (in many ways).

Due to Ike, we cancelled plans to be gone this next week to the hill country.  Still don't have electricity.  As we had already made those plans with friends, I was not planning on making Texas Rangers cookout.

However, now that I won't be gone all next week, I want to ride.  Not sure yet if I will get a kitchen pass for the whole weekend, but I logged in and registered for the cookout.  I know that I am too late for Ranger's buying spree, but I can eat leftovers and/or restaurant food in need be.

What I would like to get is directions to his place.  I can't even find CR-4590 on my Microsoft Streets & Trips.  He said he would email maps to those coming, but as I registered way late, I don't think he will get one to me.

Can anyone help me out?  TIA

Early

Sent you an email with TR's email addr.  He also hangs out on the national board more than here, if you want to check there.

Many thanks.  Now to just make sure I get my 'Kitchen Pass'.

We still have no power hook up.  Running a little off a generator, but wife does not do well operating under minimal conditions.  You know how it is.  It is ALL MY FAULT.  Why don't they fix US?

OK, finally got my 'kitchen pass' and made reservations at the motel.  I should be there Friday, hopefully in time for lunch.  Looking for a good time.

I am really glad I made the scene at the first annual E.TX Ranger BBQ! What a great place in the woods. I am proud for you both, TR and Catfish!

Great bunch of folks. I really enjoyed meeting all the out of state folks. We will always have the epic bean toss game! Sorry I missed El Gato and Daniel in the am.

Thanks for all the work, Nowell's. I look forward to the photos. ~Jeff

Early Bird is in the house.  Total of 753 miles for the weekend.

Great shindig, TR.  Many thanks to you and Catfish.  Great location, good food and cute hostess.  Simone is a sweetheart.

Looking forward to next year.
