I just came back from a 2400 mile ride to Az. and So.Cal last week .HOT HOT HOT 106 DEGREES .Well my son has a triumph dealership there an we went for a ride in the mountains an on the way back we got to horseing around. He said I could probably beat him off the line but he would blow me away after he shifted out of first .He was right.I blasted off an took him untill he got to shift into second an off he went.I was up to about 60mph an he went by me like I was standing still.I was on my 02 standard with bags an windshield an he was on a triumph daytona.Just fun an no compitition. He said that the valk is very fast but he is a lot faster. No s--t.

You hit some hot weather down here for sure Art.  I am heading up north on Thurs.  Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Sturgis then probably over your way the 2nd week.  Will let you know.

I am sure you and your son were at a drag strip and not on any public hwy.  Evil

My nephew owns a Triumph 675 Daytona and a V-Rod. Both fast in very different ways and styles.
Yet he borrows my I/S with a CT and says it's more fun on the E.N.Hines Parkway and at almost any Bike Night ("cause chicks dig it and most posers don't know what it is", his words).
