No not blasphemy-at least i hope not. 2funny Had a doctors appt today and took the valk. Got done there and got breakfast. (fasting before a doctors appt not a lot of fun) Got on her and went fer a ride. Put on about 150 today and the longer i went the hotter it got. Passed a thermometer and it was indicating 107 degrees F. Headed fer the house but was already nice and toasty. uglystupid2 We are going to have more of the same up to and thru the weekend. Grin Guess if i want to ride it will be way early or way late. 107 degrees and 70- 80 % humidity just a tad much fer this old fart. Lips Sealed  Stay hydrated and RIDE SAFE.

but they do help you stay hydrated. Keep the sun off your skin, and the ice water in your veins. Ride safe.

Hey old2soon: I never leave home without a liter of water in the bag or a camelback on me. A buddy was out in Chandler last Sat and nearly passed out on his HD. He ran a few errands on the bike and had no water for 2 hours outside. It's critical here in the summer.

2-count em-2 half gallon jugs frozen water in my bags BEFORE i leave in this weather and at least 1 when it's cooler out. Besides drivin truck i worked constructiion once or twice in my life. Either i'm gettin older or summers be gettin a little wee bit hotter. 2funny Even as high dollar as it's gotten-Gator ade be real helpful. When ya got 107 degrees high humidity and heat indexes in the high 100 +teens that be downright dangerous in anybodys book. uglystupid2 RIDE SAFE.

The official high in West Plains Mo yesterday(which i live 22 miles  north of) was 104 degrees-which B T W set a record for August 2nd. Records were set all across southern Mo and northern Ar. At Springfield Mo they came in as the 3d hottest july on record. (i live 88 miles east of spgfld) They were within a degree or so of setting the all time hottest record for july. uglystupid2 And august be starting out in the triple digits. tickedoff Go back to my brothers place with the 60 degree mornings and fishing on the lake. cooldude Stay cool-stay hydrated-RIDE SAFE.

I really have to take my hat off to all of you who can brave the heat!

Unfortunately,, I have absolutely, "NO" heat tolerance! All my riding is done during the spring, fall and on mild winter days. Believe me, I'm envious of all of you who can withstand or tolerate the summer temperatures!
