Did I eat something funny?

I seem to actually agree sometimes (yeah even a broken clock is right twice a day   2funny ) with Anvil's points  after getting over the initial shock of it altho the way it comes out is shall we say often caustic  and I know he wants it that way cause I have PMed him on it

The posts of those on the left and right like SE, Bobbo and others dont make me angry and I understand where they are coming from even if I dont agree with them much as I used to and amazingly

I have no trouble understanding Big Al's logic and prose  possibly because I have had pleasant conversation with the man and enjoyed his company in Maggie Valley.  How can you dislike a man who offers you his last benadryl?  He is a real gentleman and funny as heck in person

Maybe I am just comfortably numb

Dont much care for the stirring the pot stuff though or calling names

any constructive suggestions out there? anyone can throw a stone

Maybe its cause I rode the beemer into work today and sat in traffic in the sun longer than I should have and in the morning things will be back to normal again    coolsmiley

To me Anvil is a LOT like Rush Limbaugh...

I agree with him more often than not, but his delivery leaves me disagreeing with him just from the..... how can I put this politely..... Well, you know.... Caustic nature...

I'll cop to that. Although really, I'm actually pretty nice compared to how I can be sometimes.

To Oss Anvil and Serk.

I like everyone in most situations.

I will give you the shirt off my back due to the good natured parents that raised me.

But come to find out these things are just in me by being thier kid.

No not inbred, inherited.

Thanks for the kind words OSS, you are more than a  nice guy in person and also a humerous fellow. Loved the story you shared about

when you got your first Valk.

Anvil you got my goat at first, but I am coming around to your brand of witicism and humor.

Serk I don't think I have dwelled on you as much, you are more the normal type and that is good.

Middle of the road and very uselful around here on the board.

Thanks

Big Ole AL

PS: Oss is taller than me.

I posted something and even posted the video clip of where it came from and this person STILL said I made it up!  Go figure, 'cause I won't won't be figuring him out anylonger.

Because he DID make it up. He took words out of the context of a greater argument to make his point. A common political ploy.

Maybe someday when his fontanel closes he'll be able to hang with adults who live in a world where the entire argument (rather than just sound bites) is taken into consideration.

Great point, OSS. I've thought about it often, as well, and am convinced that people would get along great in person. All the rhetoric, all the disagreements on-line, that would be out the window.
We here are a slice of society at large and as such cover a broad spectrum of views. But put'em in a bike ride or a BBQ or such, I'm convinced it would be a different tune.

Too funny.  I was just informed by another member that he's now resorted to making fun of me behind my back (as he is now ignored)   2funny

If this doesn't tell you of his character, then anyone who continues to have anything to do with him deserves what they get.

Nope, each one of his posts says that I am ignoring him and then, if I choose, I can click the blue link to show the post.  I also asked my good buddy NOT to inform me of any other posts about me from him.  I left junior high school 35 years ago and don't intend to back.

And Bobbo, you and I have a pretty good, very respectful relationship even though we've disagreed on many issues.  Why would you choose to jump in on this?  Nevermind, don't answer.  I'd rather just forget about it.

My comment wasn't meant to be disrespectful.  I just saw some twisted humor in the idea that you are indirectly responding to an ignored member...

Because sticking one's fingers in one's ears and yelling "LA, LA, LA, I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!" is so mature.

Oh, and your comment is mature?

You are one of the most antagonistic people I've ever run across. I keep wondering why the hell you can't just associate with others here and stop being such a disagreeable show-off. I guess, from some of your own comments, that it's your general nature to be a pain in the ass, and proud of it.
