Not sure of any place specific to Waco, but if your route takes you anywhere near Taylor you should go to Louie Muellers.  It truly is one of the best BBQ joints in the state...



Stopped by there last Tuesday on the way home from InZane and they most certainly lived up to their reputation! cooldude

Oh, and one of the employees at Muellers rides a Valkyrie!...

According to my son who went to school there, the best BBQ place is Michna's, 2803 Franklin Ave.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Bar-B-Que in Waco Saturday, gumbo in Ft. Worth Saturday night
(Louisiana bred Sister-n-Law). Sunday she'll feed until we drop, Monday headed to McAllen, will stop in Taylor for Bar-B-Que at Louie Mueller's. I'll bet there are some great Mexican restaurants in McAllen too.
