I was listening to Randi Rhodes (she's political and so is this post)

normally I enjoy listening to her she's smart, funny and usually entertaining. she used to be in Washington DC but I guess she couldn't make it profitable in lib land so now she's followed Limbaugh down to Florida.

I could only take a half hour I started getting a REAL headache. she was trying to get her avid fans to hate the tea party because, get this, 'they are costing us money'. supposedly the delay in getting the debt ceiling bill passed was all the tea party's fault (huh? 60 dems in the house didn't vote for it? it takes two to tango and the tea party wasn't alone in the dance hall if you get my drift) and the delay caused us to incur an extra 1.7 billion for the printing and or sale of the T bills.

I missed the nuance of her point because about then I was yelling at the radio, not repeatable here.

how about some perspective? we're supposed to get all upset with the tea party because they squandered 1/10 of 1 percent of what the prez and the dems are going to spend DEFICIT this year? and that doesn't count the total budget for this year or how about the deficit expenditures from the last two years? Micheal Savage says that liberalism is a mental disorder, he may be right.

you know what I wish with all my heart? I wish that from now on ALL politicians have to be fed an intravenous drip of phenobarbital at all times just so we could get the truth out of them once in a while. if they told nothing but the truth I don't imagine many would get reelected.

i've heard of Randi, just never listened to her show.  (sorry)

as for politics, i've given up.  they don't care for any of us, no matter what they'll promise you!!  i really feel sorry for my three kids.  if there were a country that i could move to that seems to have it's financial act together, i'd consider moving there.  problem is, you'd loose what ever freedoms you enjoy!!  and i'm sure their roads are crap!!

I understand how you feel Alph, but that is just what they want us to do. We the people have been complacent too long. That is why the Tea party has the two established parties undies in such a knot, they are getting the average American involved in politics again and that is the last thing they want. Over the next six months they are going to try to demonize the Tea party. Joe Biden already called them terrorists and it will get worse. They created the mess we are in but the Tea party is a convenient scapegoat.
Being informed is the best ammunition one can have.

Still there is nowhere like America. When other countries have an illegal problem and people go through hellish measures to get there, I'll look into it maybe. I fought for this and I'm not going out without a fight. Fight at the voting booth. I'm not young anymore.

Don't know much about the Randi that musclehead refers to but I DO listen to the Randy Rhoades in the above pic every chance I get!
IMHO one of the best axe men ever. Too bad he didn't live longer to give us more!

Randi is crazy as a loon,  my wife have attended the tea party protests in DC and we were nothing but impressed by the courtesy and respect they showed everybody.  We are just taxed enough already.  Like Winston Churchill said "Socialism is great until you run our of other peoples money".
