Had a great couple of rides

Yesterday we met and rode up 22 thru the reservoirs to the beginning of 301 in Carmel

From there we took 301 west to Cold Spring.   An obligatory photo op by the cannon
COLD SPRING FOUNDRY produced cannons thru the civil war and then down 9D to the Bear Mountain Bridge  A photo op there and then across the Hudson and up the cliff road above West Point

We didnt get any f16 or apache action but a chinook did buzz by us. No eagles either maybe it was too late in the day Temps were perfect and skies blue with clouds here and there  On the way back we went to the Croton Dam and took pics then around to the top and walked across  It is truly an engineering marvel the worlds largest hand hewn dam

Anyway we had a nice indian food dinner some fine conversation and called it a nite

This morning after breakfast we went up the goat trail and bear mountain to top of perkins drive

They really dug it

Then down the 7 lakes parkway and 106 turned around and pointed us down the palisades parkway

I shortly realized they had not had a NY kosher corned beef/pastrami combo and we stopped at a place and had fresh hot sandwiches made to order  I waved them off as I got off at the Thruway to go to the bronx and they continued down the palisades to pick up 95 and proceed over the delaware memorial bridge

Mark has lots of pics that I am sure he will upload later

It was a pleasure meeting you Mark and Charlene  Ya'll are welcome up these parts anytime.

Sounds like you took care of my neighbors as well as you took care of me when I was there last year.

Thank you!

Yes, they are fine people to know.
