I remember sittin' in a friends, uncles car under a shade tree when I first heard this song on an 8 track tape.

I'm the only one of the three of us that day who hasn't moved on to the next world now. The owner of the car was killed in his car a few years later.  The lady in the car was a life long friend who was lost to cancer when my Valk was still new to me.

Like most of us I imagine, my view into the past is pretty well bracketed by the music I was listening to and the bikes I was riding at the time.

This is still my favorite version of "House of the Rising Sun".

Good version indeed... These guys look like 60s 70s rockers.  The Animals (1964)  looked so square... but I still love their version too. cooldude

Great tune.  Is just me, or does the sound not match the video?  Dude on base looks like he is wearing a "puffy shirt".

Glad fashions have changed.

music and motorcycles are a great way to remember the past. It helps keep things straight. Thanks for sharing that version and the memories. Seems like nearly everyone has covered that song.

You are the only other person I have "met" that is even aware of the Frijid Pink version.  I had it on 45 and most people have never heard it.  Nothing wrong with the Animals version, but I like this one better.
