Another very satisfied customer of the Russell Day Long...

I have tried them all... the RDL is by far the best. Worth the wait.  cooldude

1511 miles in 23.5 hours without any discomfort whatsoever.

I have no experience... but I have heard ALL the hype.  I am saving my pennies.

Hopefully over this winter I'll get to order one.

I LOVE the Russells on both my Valks.  Before them, I was about crippled by 7-800 miles on a two day ride.  Have riden several 7-800 mile single days on my Daylong, and could go farther.  Put 4601 miles on my IS with sidecar going to the VOAI rally in Maggie Valley.  13 days.  Seat felt good.

Me too, hopefully this winter.

Some like it fast, some like it long. Valk drivers can give you both

Well, at least with the Day-Long, it is NOT "hype".

it IS hype.

It might be TRUE hype... but it's still hype.  From everything I hear... the Russel's deserve all the praise they get.  That's why I want one.  A LOT.

I just need to save up the coin.

will never had a Russel but by low boy ultimate seat is a day or two long seat and quess I will stay with it till it gives out on me or I give out first as of now the seat can out last me and we are talking about 800 to 900 miles a day on some trips.
guess it is all in the eye of the beholder.

Thanks for input, I just got off the phone and ordered today for build start on 9/14. Since i have original seat laying in closet this will work great. I am afraid I will want one for the Wing after trying out on Valk. Wife is gonna kill me, better to ask for forgiveness than permission. Smiley crazy2

I have mine in leather.  It is a lot cooler and drier than vinyl.  Use a seat cover at night.  Use leather treatment a couple times a year.  They look great. If you are in cold area, they also can put heat in them.

I got the leather insert... which is leather where your arse(s) go, and vinyl on the sides. Works well for me, it is a bit cooler than pure vinyl.

I think it is worth the added expense.

I agree, Leather is the way to go.  If you're spending this kind of money only once, then get what you need and want.   Wink
