She was almost 90 years old.  It was expected as she was put  in hospice care a month ago.

I had my cell phone on at Inzane for the call but she hung in there.

She held off long enough for us to talk about the days when we were growing up.  I kidded her about her and Dad buying me a Schwinn bicycle which I later added a Whizzer motor to, she got me started in motorcycling.

I spent this evening finding a photo of her taken during her younger days, scanning it into the computer, cropping, and running it through the Raw app in Photoshop. I made 12 5x7 pics and 8 3x5 pics for her family and mine.

Somehow I felt that she was with me looking over my shoulder while i was working.

Wayne, so sorry to hear of you loss. I lost my younger adopted sister about 2 1/2 years ago, I remember when my folks brought her home....April, 1943. I'm the only one left in our family of four.

Take care, my friend.

Sorry for your loss. Kind of makes me more aware of the fact my older sister is in trouble in CO with diagetes, losing one leg and maybe the other one. Really need to get out there before she's only memories. We miss them but she did have a good run at 90 tho. Glad you had that chance for the last visits.

Really sorry to hear this Wayne. At 54, I'm the oldest remaining member of my family. I know it's a lonely place to be. Treasure and enjoy the memories as I know you do and will.
Prayers sent.

Sorry to read this, Wayne. It's a bit strange to have grandparents, parents and siblings and to one day look around and you're alone. Very sobering.

So sorry to hear of your loss Mr Wayne.  My deepest condolences.  If she was anything like you and your sons, she was "good people".  Glad that you got time to spend some time at the end - that is important and helped me through the loss of my parents - always nice when you get to say goodbye.  At 90, she had a good ride at life....

Again, my deepest condolences for you loss but she lives on in your memories.
