Did anyone notice he was wearing dress slacks and a button down shirt. Not a speck of paint on him.

Question: Why does pinstriping go on last when customizing something. Wouldn't it be better, and protected if it went on before the clearcoat? I noticed this with all of those car building and customizing shows I've been watching.

I was trying to understand what the guy was saying as the stripes were being applied. It was kinda difficult, but I thought I heard the words "oven" & "clearcoat". Maybe these guys do put a coat of clear over the stripes. You are correct though, most always it's the last step. FWIW, my pinstriping was applied in 2000 and still looks as good as new with only the occasional waxing.

I'm trying to get my wife's son interested in striping. I've played with it and one of my cars still bears the embarassment. He dosent want to do real work but wants to make money. I told him, other than boosting 7-11's this would be a good way. Maybe its too much work to become mediocre, and waaay to much work to be good. Oh well, he can always cut the soles off his shoes, live in a tree and learn to play the flute.

i had the wifes and my name put on 4 years ago at a wingding and it still looks as good as day one. the guy told me it would have to be wet sanded off to get rid of it. i believe him. i have buffed/polished right over it and it doesnt affect it.

As best I could understand on the video, they clear coat the tank and then bake it for thirty minutes, but I'm not good at understanding India/Pakistani accents. Best I could tell, that was the Royal Enfield mfg. plant.
