Great looking bike. Looks a lot like my first Valk.

Then I bought an Interstate and sold the Tourer, 21K miles.

Good news is the wife liked the maroon/cream color combo and says someday I can get another maroon/cream Tourer!!

See you in Wamego!

You've got a beautiful bike. And of course, it's the fastest color scheme.

get use to that silly grin on your face. it is going to be there for a very long time. and if you feel it slipping away just go for a ride and twist that throttle. you'll find it comes back every time. congrats and welcome  cooldude

Congratulations on finding such a fine ride.  Joe said that you ran off with a good one.  I had one for a while until I weakened, now it is sitting in my friend's garage...JIM

I've let my 97 Red and White get dull (don't wax it) so I'm not throwing rocks in glass houses,
but... your color of Valkyrie looks really good when it is polished up like that  cooldude

Mine is a 98 also. Love that color combination, then a painter got a hold of it and airbrushed some pics of my wife, ended up looking like this.  One thing for sure, she will never let me sell it!

I've been a member here for a long time, so you might have seen her before, the paint job is now 5 years old.  While the front fender and top of the tank are amazing, the sides of the tank are my favorite.  When the painter finally called me to pick up the tins, he asked that my wife come along as he had a surprise for her, as a present to her he "ghosted"  her face on both sides of the tank.  Absolutely unbelievable, the detail in the airbrush work, especially in the iris of her eyes and her fingernails.   Since those pictures were taken, I've changed the seats to a tan with burgundy stripe Ultimate King, a set of Hard Krome 6 into 6  pipes, and Pretech 6 piston calipers on the front.
