We Finally made it home!!!!!!!
Inzane was great!!!!!  got ta see LOTS of folks!!!
We decided LATE Saturday night.... that we were NOT tired of the cool weather up north....... and since we were in Michigan..... and kinda in the area.... we went to Maine for lobster.......besides.... FB was wanting to get all 48 states on her Spyder...... She is at 40 now!!!!!!!Every state west of the Rockies!!!!Mostly 2 lane back roads!
The losbster and clam chowder were GREAT!!!!!!!!
Met OSS in NY!!!!!! and he gave us a GREAT tour of the Hudson River Valley!!!!!!!!!  Beautiful area!!!!!!!!  Thanks OSS!!!!!!!!!Headed south out of NY and stopped in NJ had had a GREAT Pastrami Sandwich!!!!!!  edit: Oss let me know it was a "corned beef /pastrami combo sandwich"  it sure was good... Thanks again OSS!!!!!!
Went down through the DelMarVa....Delaware was the only state in the east that we have not been to at least 3 times.....  but it is a itty bitty state and ya have ta go there on purpose...LOL
Went and hung out with Highbinder and Lady Draco for a few days....Conversations on the porch!!!Watching HUNDREDS of hummingbirds!!!  Enough of the little dive bombers to empty 9 or 10 feeders more than once a day!!!!...... haulin hay.....FB and LD canning stuff from the garden and making bread..... sitting out at night and watching for meteors..... seeing space junk drifting by...... and shewing of herds of raccoons.....LOL  A great time!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks HB and LD!!!!!!!!!!
FB and I headed home Wednesday.... didn't get an early start..... but we were not in a hurry..... In Tn, we some how got separated....CB comms were bad for some reason.... FB's phone wouldn't work......We were both wrecks..... and REALLY happy to find each other again!!!!!!!  We lost about 2 hours.....
Stopped for the night just inside Alabama......  Headed out the next am.... thunderstorms with lightning..... but we never hit anything bad enough to stop.... or even put on ran gear...sure kept things cool!!!!!!  Started getting HOT in Ms....  and hotter in La....We could have made it home, but decided to stop at a casino in Lake Charles.. and try our luck.......  good thing I'm lucky in love......A 3 hour ride today... and we are home!!!!!!!!  Sure enjoyed the trip.... but good to be home......spent the rest of the day watering the dying fruit trees..... we are STILL at 1.5 inches of rain for 7 months.....at least I don't have to mow the yard!!!! LOL

Pat..... It all kinda runs together...... with the Robbers Cave Ride.....Tucumcari Ride..... West Virginia Hillbillie Ride..... Then home for a couple weeks then off to Inzane.. and parts North.....We were gone around 8 weeks and over 13,000 miles.....Easily 98% 2 lane back roads....over 1/2 of Route 66 ( we will catch it going west next year)!!!!!  A 350 mile day is a LONG day on the little backroads.....LOL...55mph speed limits.... going thru every little town.... seeing the sights.... smelling the flowers.....I Like it!!!!!! cooldude

Welcome home !

It was terrific meeting you and Flamingobabe, sharing some good food, conversation and awesome scenery.   Charlene really dug the Croton Dam and I know you loved the cliff road north of west point and Perkins Drive up on Bear Mtn

I was kinda mesmerized watching those hummingbirds on the porch as well last month  Hb and Ld have a very special place, they are blessed indeed.

When you get settled would you email me those pics from the cliff overlook   coolsmiley

Sweet trip! It was good to see you two again. Hope the Maine Lobstah was still cheap ( $4.50 - $6.50 /lb when we were there last year) and you got your fill. Glad you made it home all safe n sound.  cooldude

Yer story made me think...if/when I get my Valk and we're travelling and get separated...might be a good idea to have a specific destination down the road where we can catch each other again in case the electronics malfunction. I had never thought of that before.

Anyhoo...hope y'all get some rain soon. Be well................... Cool

Glad to see ya'll is back home.

Are you trying to catch me on miles ridden on our 2 rigs?

Mine hasn't been ridden too much in the past 2 years, but it is going to be catching some hell here shortly.      Son's lady friend found out how sweet the Valk rides over the chopper, so she told him, you ride, we take Valk, or we stay home.

So, Valk went to Missouri today and not sure where they are headed for this weekend.

He also cussed the CT on the rear, till he got some miles on it, now he loves it.   He gave me t understand when we wear this Good Year Triple Tread out, it will get another ct put on.     Guess we converted him pretty fast,     LOL     cooldude

I think the daughter wants the Valk when I turn MGM loose, so son will end up with the Chevy Trike.     So, don't know if we will have one happy kid or 2 of them.    Not my worry as I'll be watching flowers grow from the bottom up.    tickedoff

See, next year you will catch me on the states and Alaska.   Then all ya have to do is fly to Hawaii, rent a Harley and get that Capital picture.    My second trip around was all the state capitals with my youngest daughter riding bitch.     She was a trooper.    I let her plan the days in the winter, we'd map out a route, and take off.   With one understanding, if either of us saw  something else we wanted to stop at, we stopped, even if it meant not making the stop we had planned on.       Never ever made a Motel reservation on those type of trips.    More fun that way, we might do 90 miles in a day and maybe a few days later we would turn a 1,000 mile day.    Worst problem was trying to plan where we would need a rear tire.   A couple of times we had to wait another day so they could get it in.   Always tried to hit NO logo repair shops, no dealer type.     A couple of them just let me do it on their lift.    The one guy said, okay, next time one of these comes in, I'll know how to do it.   He didn't charge me any $$$$ for the use of the lift or tools, and let me have the tire for $35.00 over his cost.
