My bride and I went to a gun show this afternoon. The crowd was surprising small and I was able to go slow and hobble around unfettered. Anyway, as usual, it was like a kid in a candy store – minus having any money. I actually found a used .357 and made a deal on, but the dude wasn’t set up to take plastic. I’m running down to his shop next week to pick it up.
Here’s the question; If you can have any three guns for your personal use/enjoyment, what would you pick up? The only caveat is it’s has to be one you’ve had you’re eye on, (versus straight investment), but for whatever reason haven’t pulled the trigger (bad pun.sorry)
Here is mine;
Saiga-12 w/multiple 20 round drums. This just looks like a fun gun with the added benefit of being a serious zombie killer.
Taurus Judge. I just want one of these. I looked at the S & W Governor today and liked it, but I’m still going with the Judge.
Barrett M82. If this needs explaination, click on your sewing link.

1. Springfield Armory double stack 1911 clone (can't afford them damn Colts and they're overpriced, anyway), in .45ACP, of course.
2. Springfield Armory M1A rifle in .308 with 10-12 twenty round mags.
3. Remington 870 pump 12 ga, with extended mag tube.
Of course, several thousand rounds of ammo for each weapon.
I have the first two guns and do have a 12 ga pump, but its a Winchester 1897 I use for Cowboy Action Shooting. Guess it'll do.

I've fired the Saiga 12 and the Judge. The Judge is a gimmick gun. A fun conversation starter but for all of it ammo variety it's of very little practical use. The Saiga is likewise of little practical purpose in a zombie free world but it's a ridiculous amount of fun to unload into the side of a refrigerator. I'd buy one. But right now I'm considering different AR platforms for a fun gun.

Gotta go with: Marlin 39A lever action in .22 cal, gotta have something to plick with. Could buy six Ruger 10-22s for the same price, but they just don't match up. Marlin 44-40 lever action, never left a deer standing. 1911 Colt, best handgun ever made.

1. An M4 .223 carbine (16"bbl) 2. A suitable sidearm....... probably a double stack 9mm over a single stack .45. 3. And a Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) (and hundreds of loaded mags)

Three is kinda a small number:
But to answer your question.
Smith and Wesson M29 44 mag 4" or 6" barrel for its power and versatility. AR15 in 6.8 M4 version - Colt- Smith - etc - ANY excellent quality manufacturer. Browning BPS in 12 gauge with 22" barrel and invector chokes and 3 shot extension.
AWWWWWWW it is just not enough.
Everyone needs a concealed carry - Colt Defender in 45 ACP with laser grips and tritium sights and a .22 pistol or rifle.
Sorry bought that kinda lost control.

Interesting question. 1. The new double magazine KelTec high capacity shotgun I just read about. 2. A Stainless Dan Wesson 445 super mag revolver in a boxed set with barrels, wrench and feeler gauge. 3. A left-handed Stag Arms piston type AR with a Nightforce scope.
Only thing standing between me and them is $$$$$$$$$$$$

I kill the most with my Taurus 22lr tracker. My favorite gun though, is my Taurus Judge. There is no greater challenge for target practice than shooting a moving target. You can load skeet loads in it .410, and try your luck trying to hit clay pigons. I can hold my own with a shotgun, but a pistol, now that's a different matter. It's a lot different than shooting a piece of paper at 20 yards. With birdshot you don't have to worry about a bullet traveling over to the next county, so you can shoot up and out all you want.

Some great choices! This ‘question’ was just a fun little “survey" on owning a few more guns that you don’t currently have.
Frye; that new Kel Tec shotgun looks REALLY cool! I’d love to take one out to the sandbox and blow up a few hundred rounds through it! (BTW) I have a Dan Wesson ‘Pistol Pac’ that I purchased in 1983. Four barrels, color sight inserts, wrench/feeler gauge, felt lined presentation ‘suitcase’ and even a Dan Wesson Belt buckle! It has a bright blue finish w/ Brazilian zebra wood grips (now banned from being imported!) I never shot it a lot and no kidding it still looks brand new! I’ve been thinking about selling or trading it since I NEVER shoot it. (I originally got it to shoot competition, which I did, for only one season before moving to a rim fire league!) Anyway, I was at the gun show Sunday and mentioned it to a dealer. I may take it to his shop. I recently checked Gun Broker and saw JUST THE STINKING CASE was selling for $200! And, it didn't even have the original yellow felt! Wow! Guns HAVE TO BE the best investment of the last 40 years! It’s just SO HARD parting with a gun. Why is that?? I’ve only done it once (traded a pistol for a truck!) HAHA!

The 2 basic guns for me are: 1) a 9mm or 45, Glock, Sig compact for carry option. you can always add a 22lr kit 2) a shotgun (ammo versatility) 3) a rifle. AR or AK.
the Judge or 500s&w are a novelty in my opinion

Bought a new in box Colt M16A1 back in 1983 for $475...now worth in the neighborhood of $15,000. Friends test firing a couple of guns from my collection

I'm quite happy with my reworked Taurus P111 Millenium Pro 9mm.
Tried a few other much more expensive 9mm pistols and none were more accurate. Cost does not make a better gun.

Well, I have 2 that I have wanted for a while..
1. A real PA longrifle 2. A national match AR
looking for a .. 3. Model 94 in 32 Win Spl. My father had one and it is what I took hunting as a kid. I didnt particularly like the carbine, and I shot it about as well as it wanted to shoot, which was nothing to exciting. It was stolen from my fathers house becore I could get a deer in front of it and I would like to. 3. Trapdoor Springfield 3. A good 22lr pistol. I have a revolver but not a pistol in 22lr.

Any accurate High powered rifle will put food on the table as well as make more guns available (pick up what they arent using anymore). With out that option, I'd pick a long 44mag pistol with a red dot scope. 12 gauge and 22LR are the cheapest ammo to hoard and 22 takes up very little space. I love the Judge and it can be very versatile but it has such a loose chamber that the 410 shells are scary to reload (I wont). Pick your guns based on what ammo will be available in what ever scenario you are planning for because when the ammo is gone, the gun is worthless. Just for personal enjoyment the Surbu .50 BMG is a hoot ! Anything else that throws cheap ammo down range in mass quantities gets my vote ! YMMV I forgot to mention , A Ruger P95 DC (de-cocker) has to be the most fun and loved piece of equipment in my arsenal. A P97DC is on the wish list! Great bang for your buck and any one says different... well,we'll just have a disagreement.

Mini 14 Shortened Barrel for accuracy + scope+20 round clip, these are fun shooters.
357 Magnum any Brand, have a Ruger and a Compensated Rossi 4" and 3" respectively.
Mossberg 500 12 Guage 18" Barrel with 3",,,,, "00" buck.
I am with MOmz,,,cost does not make it a better gun.
I have one of those PT111 Millenium Pro, 9mm 12+1 rounds. I really like it.
I pity the fool that tries to get by me with that pistol and the ammo I have in it.
I have sold Glocks due to problems I had with them. People Scarf them up like the best thing since slice bread.
1911 45 or 38 super will be my next purchase, as I love ole John Browning for all he did for firearms.

Man, I've always loved Dan Wessons. The triggers are great and there is just something about a swap barrel gun that I like. The first Dan Wesson pistol pack I saw was much as you describe in a pawn shop in Phoenix around 1978. I've got a blued .357 now with no spare barrels although when time allows I will buy a barrel blank and give a try at making a few on the lathe. When it comes to investments, you can't beat guns and land in my book. Land because they aren't making any more of it and guns because they are one of the few things that your great, great grandchildren will still be able to use and cherish if they are taken care of.

I just want my old ones back that I sold when the kids got too curious. Yes - in Canada, believe it or not! Taurus 38 - my first. Popped my HG cherry so to speak. El Cheapo... Beretta .22 short - fun in the sun, kept getting lost in pockets... Arminius 22 long-barrel revolver - another cheapo plinker, but man, was that thing accurate!! S&W Model 66 357. Sweet looking, but had a bad rep for a poor frame. Traded up for...: THE bestest one I ever had: Colt 1911 series 70 in stainless. Just a gorgeous, powerfull, somewhat clunky, beauty. I plan on 'repaperizing' (hoops, moocho red tape) and get back into it. SigSauer or Beretta, in 9-mil or .40 will be the first in my future.
