Took a long weekend to spend some time with family out on the Rio Frio near Concan.  There actually was water still flowing at Garner! 

Thursday night brought 3 1/2 inches of rain complete with thunder and lightening!  Wow, it was a thrill!
Of course, everything was dry by the end of day Friday.

Campsite...


Rode early each day before the heat.  Saw almost no traffic and less motorcycles!  One thing for sure is that the "Sisters" never cease to amaze!

A very rare spot to pull off...


Had a great time and didn't want to leave.  But now I need to get back to work, so I can rest up...

We only saw these boys when they were hungry.  They spent their days on the Frio and nights at the Garner summer dances.  Usually, they were still asleep when I got back from my rides...

L-R:  My son's friend Jack (who we brought with us), Cousin Blake, my son Aidan, Blake's friend Austin (who was brought with the cousins), Cousin Cole, Cousin Gentry.  Ages 11 - 17

Ah the three sisters, voted as one of the top ten rides in the country!  Haven't done the whole ride yet, but plan to this November when we spend three days at Lost Maples State Park.  There is a great motorcycle museum near Vanderpool too, think its called the Texas Motorcycle Museum.  If you haven't been, it is worth the trip.
