I belong to ABATE of MI and we preach education, sobriety, personal accountability, and safe riding will reduce M/C accidents and save tax payers money in the long run.

Yesterday I and our Region Co-ordinator (Dave Pettit also a VRCC member) taught two Motorcycle Awareness classes at local driving school. I cannot begin to tell you how fullfilling it felt to see these kids sit up and take notice, listen intently and see that bikers are just like everyone else. I will vow to continue to do these classes in hopes that maybe some of the students will remember what was taught. And maybe some of those students may become resposible motorcyclists in the future.

Ride safe and show motorists we are really just people too.
Peace

Thank you for what you do, George.  It's a good and worthwhile service.

I'm just not so sure about that one thing ...   Wink

... that bikers are just like everyone else.

Carl,...we are people, but we choose to ride instead of some other pursuits.
Pam teaches newbie riders and I teach newbie drivers to watch out for riders.

Pam used to coach girls soccer and bowhunting, I've been a history buff most of my life. Some VRCC members are bowlers, play softball, golf, hunt, fish, etc. That makes us just like our neighbors, nephews, neices, friends and family

Wishing all peace and liberty.

I gotta agree, Willow.

Bikers are raisin toast compared to most who are just white bread or whole wheat.

And I was thinkin' I'd just cruise for a while
A fork in the road brought a new episode
Don't you know...

Conform, go crazy, or ride a motorcycle...
