That paper was written by three individuals, not NASA. Shawn D. Domagal-Goldman is academically associated with the NASA Planetary Science Division, but this paper wasn't commissioned by NASA. I can't decide if it's hilarious or sad that some political bloggers come up with this stuff... ??? A Link to the actual paper: http://sethbaum.com/ac/2011_ET-Scenarios.pdf

I say we all cut back on red meat consumption. Less consumed, fewer cattle raised for that purpose, therefore fewer cow farts....and human ones as well. Plus, it might even shut Gore up, therefore less hot air coming from him as well. Problem solved! But then in a few years we'd have another crackpot screaming about the earth is freezing over. Ya just can't win. What has me stumped is.....if our society is responsible for the global warming and all the ice melting, then how come research shows 6-700 years ago the Norsemen(Hagar the Horrible, et al) were able to sail through that same area due to melting of the ice floes. And that was long before we were cruising the interstates in gas guzzlers, spewing all that stuff that is supposedly causing all this warming.

Boxer rebellion, the Holy Child. They all pay their rent. But none together can testify to the rhythm of a road well bent. Saddles and zip codes, passports and gates, the Jones' keep. In August the water is trickling, in April it's furious deep.

We saw a movie about this recently. It was called "The Day the Earth Stood Still." The aliens gathered up samples of all the animals in a kind of inter galactic ark (except for the humans). And then cleaned house. The house cleaning was called off just in time to save the humans. Some said calling off the cleaning was a mistake...
We trudge on.
