I couldn't find the H3 35W bulbs, so I used the 55W H3's....I like it bright up front anyways....but after I got the pods put back on(yes, I had to do the left one twice)...there was still a small gap at the bottom of the rubber insert that wasn't there when I started??!!...I don't remember if I still have the instruction booklet that came with them to figure out how to adjust them properly...there's an adjustment screw on the light bracket on each light, but I didn't look close enough to see if that moves the light up and down or side to side?...it was one of those days where nothing was going right and nothing was easy, so I stopped before I broke something!!... Trying to find the 35 watt H3s at an auto parts or box store is nigh on impossible.  They carry the 55 watt ones for cage fog and driving lights.  The only place I know that carries the 35 watt ones are harley stealerships and you will pay a lot more than the 55 watters.  You need to be careful using them, you could overload a circuit.

Stanley, get a firkin relay in the system to those lights before ya burn up the wiring..............

Maybe I should say, look and see if there is a relay in the line.   If my memory serves me correctly factory installed did not have a relay, but the after market ones did.

Then I might be ass backwards on the relay......

I'd leave em off till you either locate a relay for them or add one in.   It ain't no fun replacing a wiring loom in these Phat ladies.........

Hondaline factory foglights DID come with an inline relay. Problem is, they (Honda) won't sell you a new one if it goes bad!  Roll Eyes

Several years ago I stumbled across a suitable replacement from Autozone, carried under the "Pilot" brand. JeffK's "Generic Parts Page" should list the number; myself and Quexpress did a test-fit of the part at one of the InZanes...

my podlights came with a relay in the system, but I didn't look to make sure yesterday....it was a crappy day where nothing was going my way and I was tired of looking in the local stores....Big Mike said he'd send my some 35 Watt bulbs, but I had to go to the parts store for some other stuff anyway, and was just trying to save some time.....I'll look and see if I can find the relay in there....Smilin Jack and Razor Ray(not the one on this board) helped me install the lights way back in 2005.....Thanks fellows!!

Hint:

Look under the right side cover. Honda's instructions are to mount it using one of the 6mm bolts which secures the sidecovers' center piece.

right side cover....SO, if it IS there, I should be able to keep the 55W bulbs in ok??...I know a lot of guys have used larger wattage bulbs in the actual headlight fixtures with no problems...

Look at the relay's contact rating. That will determine how much current can safely be passed. If it's rated at 15A or more, you're good to go.
