The reason I say that is that Diner is the ONLY place in the downtown that is still open - except for the police station. The town use to have a train depot - and that closed - and then a stud mill - and that closed, so you are looking at a town that DIED. State Highways bypassed it, and without industry, the town died. But as long as the diner is there - and it ain't much of a diner, there is a reason to stop.
When it closes, there will be NOTHING to stop in this town for and it will truely die (the gas station is now out on the state highway). It is a shame, because that is the town that my mother was born and raised in........The town that my grandmother had her boarding house, the town my father built a pool hall in - just to have something to do when they went there, the town that my brother and I use to be given 10 cents for an ice cream over at Ms Maudes's and sit on the swing and then go back to my grandmother's boarding house.....I mean there is so much history there and I bet it will not be there in 5 years....a ghost town....... I HAVE TO STOP THROUGH THERE everytime I go north through Mississippi.
Plus, like I said, nothing is too good for my riding partners!!!!
