Anybody found any storage ideas to replace the front and vent on the radiator pods? Don't want a leather pouch or windshield pouch if I can keep from it, just looking for somewhere to keep some clearglasses and wallet when I'm cruising. Thanks

Small magnetic tank bag, cheap easy and removable.
The pods actually serve an air flow purpose.

Probably not what you wanted to hear,, but that's my 2cent's.

Those PODS serve a purpose for my I/S in redirecting heat, and housing a Stebel Horn.   For quick at your hand storage of glasses, smokes or snacks.... you can use a magnetic tank bag which will also serve to cover the chrome gas cap when the sun reflects off of it into your eyes.

I made one with a larger fanny pack, cut off belt/strap and melted edges with a lighter.  I got a pair of rare earth magnets from an old PC hard drive and super glued them inside the tabs/corners in the rear.  Works great, stays put but is easily removable when needed and stores nicely in the trunk or bags.

The PODS on my IS had a leather zipped pouch attached on the right hand one. I put my garage door opener in it. Comes in handy as I just sqeeze the pouch to open the garage door. There was an identical one on the left POD but I removed it as the IS Fog light switch went there.

My Utopia backrest which I just added has a pouch on the back of it which comes in handy for small stuff such as glasses and a cell phone.

You could try a tank bib. Theres a couple of post's with links to some leather tooling guys around here. Try searching "tank bib". I'm considering it myself.

I have owned both the Wing and the Valk and front storage is one of the things I miss from the Wing.
I took a long trip this summer and I used both a tank bib and a magnetic pouch for storage.
I have never seen anything done with the pods for storage though it's not a bad idea. Only big issue I see would be the amount of heat it would catch.
Another possibility would be the magnetic pouch - attach it to the bars and not the tank - it moves everything forward. I used mine there for a while last summer but mounted a power point this year so it was no longer an option.
