This  past Saturday morning I watched the weather channel say scattered showers to the south with light rain. So I jumped (not really) on the valk to ride south 35 miles to help set up a benefit car show. Beautiful ride down. We did the necessary setup, and I started back. About 3 miles the scattered showers converged on me all at once. The rain came down hard. could barely see,got the cold shakes , and started into hyperthermea. Got myself into a Jewel gas station with an awning and looked thru the bags. I was soaked , and my boots held a lot of water. (did not leak at all). I had a flannel shirt and my leather jacket, but the rain suit was back at home staying nice and dry. Inside the station I was shaking so bad I couldnt talk. Managed to get the wet shirt off and the dry one on.I poured a coffee and realized my wallet was on the bike. The kid behind the counter said the coffee was on him. (thank you). I got warmed up and hit the road with my leather getting soaked, but continued home with local flooding , cages cutting me off and riding in the second worse rain storm I can remember. If only I would have left the rain gear on the bike.

I'm with you on the rainsuit. If you ever unfold one you will never get it back into the bag as neat.

sounds like me at the hillbilly ride knowing that there was a change for rain that sat. I forgot and left the rain suits in the motel room.  When we left that day the sun was out and a rain suit was the last thing on my mine. never the less we got soaked about 3 hours in to the ride.  Just glad to hear that I am not the only one that leaves the rain suit behind.

Been there, done that! Now it's automatic. As soon as the rainsuits are dried, it's back into the saddlebag immediately. It's kind of like the credit card commerical - Don't leave home without it.

Always keep mine in the right side saddle bag, got caught once without it and vowed never again.

A Feller needs two rain suits.

One left drying at the house and the other always in the saddle bag.

Its almost a rule: If you have you most likely won't need it. If you don't have it you will get wet.

Here when it rains and you get soaked to the skin, 20 miles later you'll be dry and ready to do it again.
But its 105 degrees. Kinda like ridin in the dryer.
