Just looking for advice , I'm wondering if any of you guys running supercharged Valks have ever had clutch slip issues . I'm running a blown GL1500 engine and have an issue with the clutch letting go (slipping ) whenever I come on to the gas hard and the blower cuts in . The clutch is fine in every other respect and never slips out of boost , The motor is 92 interstate stock apart from the addition of reverse , fuel injection , blower and intercooler  boost is about 7psi max ,  I'm using a Valk rear gear drive . Motor has about 40K on it . I'm using shell Rotella T oil . I had the clutch out to fit the reverse parts in and it was visually ok but I never gave it close scrutiny as I had driven the bike in stock form with no issues . Anybody aware of any upgrades like a Stiffer spring or uprated plates ?

If you are running a stock Goldwing clutch pack and springs, I doubt it has the holding power of a Valkyrie pack and springs.  I'm not familiar enough to say for sure, but it's something to consider.  Jeff K and Dogg may know of heavier clutch springs if that's the case.

Thanks for the thought
1997 on Goldwing and Valkyrie clutches identical although the part numbers did change for the damper plate and for the friction plates compared to the earlier Goldwing models although I dont konw what the difference in the friction plates is . The spring has the same part # for all years .
The difference in friction plates could be the issue I suppose

An easy fix is to double the spring washer, I have done this on a couple bikes and it works fine, only drawback is it is a little harder to squeeze the handle bar control, some have went to the VTX  cylinder, different bore, more leverage.
