I like dogs too.

I like selfless warriors who stand on the wall and protect us even more.

I like dogs but at the same time i get scared when they bark or stare at us. I like watching them from distance, that's why i had never kept a pet in my home.  Sad

Strange, usually Dogs get scared when I stare at them, and then run off and hide.

For the life of me I don't know why.

LOL

They say a dog can sense fear and apparently they can sense that I am about to kick thier arse if they growl at me.

I used to be afraid of big dogs as a child.

Then I learned a few tricks to make them scared.

Just pull your coat or shirt over the back of your head with your hands held high and walk straight at them.

Most of them will run like heXX.

It's funny to try.

But you need to be armed just in case of the exception.

My luck I'd try that and get bit in the nuts.

Semper Fi, Hawkeye

I haven't heard, but I hope the dog has been given a retirement and offered to the family of the Navy Seal.

Thank you for posting this Brit. . . .  It made me think of our old German Sheppard. He was our first family pet my young bride and I got; right after son #1 was born. He was a 120 pound, child loving, home guarding, gentle giant monster that was so smart he could almost carry on a conversation and make his own baloney sandwich. He'd let you in, but you couldn't leave until me or my bride said so  cooldude "Chip" also was my first Pheasant hunting dog (believe it or not. I don’t care) before 'Moe, the retarded black Lab" came along (Greatest retriever I ever saw!)

I had a scarcstic remark about cats & liberals all set to go, but then I read the link. This isn’t a thread I want to hijack! Very touching! I love man’s best friend and “what Jabba posted x2”  Enough said.

It seems that I have something in my eyes.....We as humans could all learn something about loyalty from the simple minded actions of a dog.
