so the states?

South Carolina?  exit 190 on I-95 north bound a sign says 'ben bernanke interchange' ?
should'nt we name a printing press after him?  uglystupid2

Wisconsin?  how's it going? has the place melted down after Governor Walkers drastic reforms have been implemented? I heard in an interview the school districts are flush with cash and are actually hiring teachers. the school districts now no longer have to buy health care insurance from the union owned company that was fleecing millions from the tax payers. you are going from a 3 billion dollar deficit to 300 million in black ink, is this all true? it's not the end of the world after all?

Illinois?  hows that 66% increase in taxes on companies working out for ya'll? has it cost you 890,000 jobs as reported? the state with the largest loss of jobs this year, Illinios. yup tax increases really work.

Texas? what is it that you guys don't like about Perry? I've heard all the usual stuff, the Al Gore campaign in 88 (he switched sides in '89) the trans texas corridor, those really expensive rest areas that were featured by Kay Bailey Hutchison ads last year in the elections? feel free to vet him for us.

Gee, thanks buddy.  Cheesy  I'll answer all your questions ahead of time, so here goes: Yes, Disney is waaaaay overpriced, as is Sea World(although it's more interesting), Universal, and most of the hotels and restaurants in that area....none of which are worth it. Save your money and go to the beach or take a trip out west to the mountains. Frankly, it was better before all that crap came to town; less crime, fewer hookers(better known as Ladies of Negotiable Virtue), lower cost of living in general. And not nearly as many people living here, that alone is a big plus....if they only would make the majority of the streets one-way....headed north.

Now I've only lived here just shy of 45 years, but I remember the towns of Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach during the Apollo program. What a hoot that was, talk about a rockin' place. I was a field rep at the time for a company that made microfilm & fiche reproduction and reader equipment so I got to go into all the neat places on and off the Cape. That raised launch pad for the big firecrackers was full of shops and offices back then. After each Apollo launch it was a mess and took a while to clean/repair. If you want a real-time pucker factor, get someone to give you a guided tour of the VAB, including walking across the walkway right in the center of the big open area. I white knuckled it all the way across with the guy leading me laughing his butt off at me. I looked down once, told me I turned white as a sheet.

That crawler that hauls the shuttles out, you have no idea how big that sucker is. As it crawls up the slope to the pad it will raise the back end so the rocket/shuttle stays vertical. One day I was driving on some back gravel road to my next call at the Jet Propulsion Lab and suddenly there was this ear-splitting roar and a rocket took off no more than 50 yds. away. It was one of the smaller pads and they had just launched some satellite package, not knowing anybody was around. The equipment I was called to repair had a peculiar problem they couldn't describe on the phone. Turned out to be a rather large scorpion was caught in a piece of the mechanism....and he was unhappy.

If you want to see something worthwhile, forget the attractions around Orlando and go spend a day at the Cape. They have a great tour and other stuff to see. Very educational.

OK....enough.

I lived in Orlando from '68-'70. It was a great little town back then. No Disney, lots of orange groves. Man, those orange blossoms smelled good. Disney ruined central Florida. Cocoa Beach was a lot of fun back then. I miss the old Orlando area.
