Dave and Fudgie... let this serve as a reminder that you have to keep an eye out for the cagers, even when you are NOT on your bike.
Don't let your guards down fellas.
We love you both too much. Kit too.
Keep your head on a swivel at ALL times.
You both have my condolences. Losing a friend and peer sucks.
Jabba
Thanks Jabba, and you are very correct, too many distractions for todays drivers and you have to watch your back all the time. Latest on Vito is below.
An Elkhart Fire Department captain remains in critical condition today in Memorial Hospital of South Bend, according to staff there.
Vito Palumbo, 51, is being treated there for head injuries he suffered Thursday when he was struck by an SUV turning south from Navarre Street onto Michigan Street. He works part time at the hospital.
Palumbo remains stable and now it's more of a waiting game to see how his brain is going to heal, said Elkhart Fire Department Battalion Chief Dave Cushwa.
"The last two days have been good," Cushwa said of Palumbo's health. "His pressure's been improving."
