I noticed on that one pass, before 1:30, that he came in with BOTH right engines feathered.  Started them both back up at the end of the pass.

Had no idea those planes could maneuver like that!  They're not "babying" that old gal by any means!

That one move was almost a wing-over off the left wing. Wow.

Granted he's a good stick but that old airframe isn't built for those sorts of G's.  He's endangering himself, his crew and everybody on the ground.  Seriously stupid!

Impressive, especially knowing that dc4 fly's like a mack truck.  I was on the controls of one many years ago, they are a hand full to fly. I would worry about loading a 65 year old aircraft to those high G maneuvers.

Impressive, I kept waiting for the part where that old bird turned into  a piece of crumpled aluminum, and went down like the titantic. Wasn't there a C130 flight team at one point? Also vaguely remember hearing about a C-5 Galaxy team as well.

Yeah, it's kind of dumb. Reminds me off the BUFF that stood on it's tip and augered into the ground because the pilot was an arrogant douche. With less flames though.

Wow, Anvil, what a classy comment.  You really told those dead guys!.  Hope their surviving family members see your post so they can see how much you appreciate their sacrifices.  You, sir, are a real piece of work.

Yeah I'm sure their families are all hanging out here.  Roll Eyes

Don't get self-righteous with me and don't lecture me on sacrifice either. You know nothing about me. Read the whole story: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1994_Fairchild_Air_Force_Base_B-52_crash

I stand by what I said. That pilot was a problem and now people are dead because of him. His family is just lucky that he didn't kill more people on the ground with his hot-dogging.

Oh I've read the accident report.  Many times.  And I still stand by what I said.  And YOU know nothing about me.

Quite a flying job by the DC-4 pilot but hope they took the keys away from him afterwards - no way a plane that old should be put through those maneuvers.
