You could take River Road, US Highway 61, north to Lorman, MS and have some awesome fried chicken at the Old country Store then cruise over to Windsor Ruins.

River Road is a great ride...you may also want to get over to the West Bank and head out to Cajun Country...fine food out there....

If you get to the West Bank, check out Zydeco's.  Awesome seafood!

I lived in the New Orleans area for a number of years before Katrina.  River Road (east or west bank) is a great ride with old Plantation Mansions and lotsa curves.

The only thing I remember about New Orleans is that they do not allow motorcycle parking in any of the downtown municipal parking lots.

We never found any private lots so we improvised, illegally so!

Good thing we were not towed or ticketed.

Ya gotta get lucky sometimes!
