Well I have seen a drop or two of oil
under my 07 Harley. I took it to the dealer for
warenty work. Was told today that they have to replace the
case of the motor. Not that I mind will only cost 50 bucks
and they offered me an Ultra classic as a loner.
I don,t really need the loner as the Valk has never left
any oil and I put more miles on it than the Harley.
But I think I will take the loner just because.

You may like the Ultra.  Does it have the 96 or the 103?

How many miles on the Valkyrie ? How many miles on the Harley ? I was talking to my boss today he owns two Harley's a 2002 Heritage Softail and a 2010 Ultra Classic that has been nothing but trouble he claims he would'nt ride it on a road trip for fear of breaking down. Over-heating and transmission issues. He said his ol'lady could'nt ride with him without it cooking her leg  Shocked   Make's me want to rush out and get one  Cheesy

This is the only problem I have had.
 It,s a 2007 Street glide. I have been
all over The Dakotas all the way to Idaho
and down to Yellowstone.
Very comfy bike. All air cooled bikes
are hot, good tune and oil cooler help a bit.

I think I saw a drop of oil under my 2007 Electra Glide.

Not really.

They said the crankcase was cracked or needed a gasket replaced?

Happens to one it could be a bad batch and happen to mine as well.

Better get mine checked as well.

SO far no dealer has worked on mine except to install a  AM/FM/CD/Weather Radio.

31/700 miles all over East Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, and various other rides with ole Smokin Joe.

But it may blow tomorrow, but probably not.

If it does it is under factory warranty until 2014 February.

I bought 5 years of warranty along with the 2 they give you with it.

Not to say I did not trust the Motor Company, but they have a reputation of having problems.

I just sold my 07 "Police Special", Road King.  I put 10,00 miles on it last year. Never leaked a drop of oil and got great gas mileage. I bought it after my 99 Interstate fell on the left side and -ucked it up.  I bought the RK and I really enjoyed riding it.  After my Fat lady was on the road again I sold it last week... Long live "THE FAT LADY".

Been riding my x-wifes husbands Ultra Classic, as I'm trying to sell it for him. Ride is nice but has lack of power. Really surprised how hot it gets from the yard to the garage.  Undecided

I work for the VA and took a cue from one of the posters here and drizzled a bit of oil under one of my buddies 2007 electra glide, also dropped a couple of rusty bolts. Came in the other night and he traded it in on a 2011 103" Electra Glide, I asked him why and he said his had started leaving puddles at work but not at home and he was concearned. 2funny Is it wrong that I couldnt quit laughing.

Hey Short Leg, I have had my harley for about two years now and i am pretty happy with it. Its no Valkyrie but it fits me well. Its an Ultra Classic, I have put over twenty Thousand miles on it so far. Front tire still looks good but i am getting ready for the third back tire. The shifter seal is leaking in the trans, i will have to fix that this winter. I am still looking for another Valkrie to have around. Good luck with getting yours back on the road.

I dig with an old shovel.

Pan for gold with my pan.

Bust heads with my knuckle.

Get laughed at with my Flat Head.

But nothing runs hotter than my twin cam, well there's the Valk and it has 6 of them heaters pointed at my legs.

You sure that's not just one of your buddies jacking with you.   Back when I was riding BMW's went on a weekend outing with a group of about 10 Beamers and 1 Harley.  Nice guy he was.   At a restaurant we snuck out one at a time and used our dipsticks to drop a couple drops each under his bike and a few drops on the bottome of the engine.   When we came out the guy spent 15 minutes on his back on the ground trying to find where the leak was coming from.   He was holding up the group from leaving so We finally told him and he laughed with us.  Funny guy.

you should use syrup that way you can drop a lot of it on the ground and put some around the base of the  heads that way it will smell sweet when he starts it...
