All sorts of errors there on the car and bike's part.  One thing for sure, a bike doesn't win in a car/bike confrontation.  Ride safe!

The only error was on the part of the biker. You just don't pass like that and if you do you're assuming the risk. You can't expect the cager to know you're gonna be THERE.

The way I saw it, the bike tried to obtain the same space as the car and the car was there first, signaling it's intention to vacate that space but had not yet vacated. Biker jumped the gun and learned a painful lesson...I hope he learned.

Looks like the cager started to move over then changed their mind. Still totally the biker's fault.

That stupid biker was even sharing the same lane with the first car he passed... while cars were coming in the opposite direction... how stupid was that.   I hope the guy's alright... but looking at the video... it was bound to happen to him.  Pretty dumb. Roll Eyes

I gotta be honest here, it's idiots like this guy that give us all a bad name.  Although I wouldn't wish anyone hurt, he doesn't deserve to be riding.

Whatever it is, it's better in the wind.

On a road less traveled.

I watched the clip a couple of times and it appears to be in Europe somewhere I think in Germany as a matter of fact, and passing as the rider was is actually legal, not saying it was safe or smart, but legal. And knowing German law and the video evidence the car driver will be most likely at fault because he was exiting then decided to re-enter the flow, even though he had not fully commited to the exit he will be at fault, since the ride was making a legal pass and started to occupy the lane that the car was vacating then not vacating..

This would be the one time that the car driver could actually use the excuse that he didn't see him.

Yep. I agree with the consensus that the biker was at fault here.

I think trying that second pass was the problem, shoulda ducked in and rejudged his position although that may not have been possible with the speed he was going.

Man, that road was narrow too.

Scary to say the least.
