DUH! commit a crime, you might need to be prepaired for it to be your last crime.
Excesive force, maybe. Deserved to die, probably not. Ordinary folks helping to stop a crime, as they should when possible.

So let me see if i got this right. This guy sprays mace at/on the accoutant-they pile on him and he dies. Is using mace considered armed robbery?? Cops use that chit to subdue unruly folks. Death might have been a little extreme-but did anybody FORCE him to rob the accountant?? Sucked to try robbing that guy. Wrong place wrong time. I'm guessing his lawyers would have been happier if he had succeeded or killed someone. So what if some of the employees had a record. They have a job they were working at. The robber was looking for an easy score. He got dead instead. If he hadn't tried to rob that business he might still be sucking wind instead of taking a dirt nap. You step outside the law you might want to consider ALL the circumstances. RIDE SAFE.

Sweet justice. A feel-good for all past or potential victims of crime.  Taking an impartial look, however, they murdered the hapless punk. I don't know about various laws regarding self-defense or citizens' rights to detain a fleeing felon, but the way I read it the perp had given up on the robbery and was running away. That means nobody was in imminent danger and use of force was neither justifiable nor measured. Bummer. But...he who lives by the pepper-spray sword, etc etc |
