When are you riding out of Houston?
I have two options on my travel to Houston, arrival Fri 7th 08:12 or Fri 7th 13:00

The one with arrival 13:00 is the easyest, Direct flight from Amsterdam to Houston
The other one is Kristiansund - Stavanger - London - New York (stay over night) - Houston

Now I'm curious  Smiley

Y.O. Ranch Hotel reservation done.
I shall return shortly with exact arrival time, but it seems that the plane arrives about 8:15 the morning of the 7th. I must pick up rental car and drop my luggage at the hotel and I'm ready.

CAN`T WAIT !!!

Lyn-Del or Wizard,

Have ya'll made a rough plan of departure, once Dag has arrived and is ready? Looking to ride out with a group, and what group better than with or Texan/Norwegian member!  cooldude

Just curious, as this thread has been awful quiet with a weekend ride in the works...

My plans are to leave around 10-10:30am Friday to head down to Hico on 67.  Stop in Hico for lunch, then down 281 to Johnson City, take 290 to Fredricksburg and then south on 16 to Kerrville.  Pretty simple but avoids interstates.

Fairly flexible on this plan if there are other riders interested in joining in.  Hope to meet the Austin folks in Johnson City.

Yes, the "3 Sisters" is a terrific ride, but if it says 10 mph, it means 10 mph and don't let your eyes leave the road for long.  There is a sign you come to coming out of Leakey that simply states how many bikers have died on this stretch of highway.  Just don't ride your Valk like you would a crotch rocket and you will enjoy a great ride.

If I'd known that a trip to the Hill Country could make it rain, I'd've dragged us down there a LONG time ago!!

Sorry I've been rather silent recently.  Some of ya'll already know that Stephanie had neck surgery recently.  I've been spending most of my time making sure she's recuperating.  As long as she continues to progress, one or both of us will be there this weekend.  Either way, and rain or no rain, it's gonna be a good weekend!
