The ride is a spiritual thing.

When it is right you forget everything and all your problems melt away.

Thats what happened for me at the Meet in the Middle Ride.

Thanks 3Fanforlife(MARK)and SmokinJoe(JOE) for doing the leg work to make it happen.

Old fashioned GPS.

You are here.

Wimp or Paul Mull taking a break, this guy lives for the ride.

Paul that's public urination. Question Does a bear "go" in the woods?. Well yeah he is usually in the woods.

Detontor, Big T, Hubcapp,  are all from South Carolina and are not related. Well that is the story anyway.
3 Great Fellas and would ride with them anytime anywhere.

Skin Head and Jeff discussig Global Climate Change,

Let's get the Party Started

Popcorn and Mark on the Porch

The 2 Ring Leaders sharing a moment

On the way home we took a road that leads to Damascus , Virginia, we exp. the dreaded loose stuff in a few corners, my front tire slid out I

stabbed a foot down and recovered,Joe and a few others had the same exp.

Joe was the loser as he ran over his own foot or got it crunched by the sadlebag.

Not sure but nothing the worse for the wear and he made the ride to his house, he will be sore.

We stopped here to catch our breath after that.

We got some sad news via phone on the way home while at the Shady Valley Country Store, or the Snake.

My wife informed me one of our aquiantances, had died in a motorcyle wreck.

She won the bike she was riding a Heritage Softail Classic, from a local radio station contest.

No details but she leaves behind a daughter who is grown.

She works at the doctors office that my wife frequents and Joe's wife also knows the lady.

Tragic news for sure, but such is life.

Still we ride on for all who have fallen , and in memory of them.

Nice report Al  cooldude  I enjoyed the ride along with the company.  Hitting that near 90 degree  right hander with the gravel dust is the closest I've been to hittin' the asphalt in many years  Sad   The ankle is sore but not bad . Everyone in the group got a pucker facter in that curve sure glad no one when down .

Good report with pics Big Al.  I wish that I could ride with (correection, ride behind........way behind your guys) but long rides are over for me. I could trailer down but . let's face it, my flatlander skills  would be useless trying to stay with you on your home turf. The Vstrom could easily do it but the pilot, not so.

Now if I still had the Miata  Cheesy Grin

Again, thanks for the report Big Al.

I'm thankful to the Lord that I don't have any giant problems right now, but by the end of the
ride on Saturday, and the stories in the parking lot were being told and the hot dogs had
been eaten (there was a good restaurant right in the parking lot) any thought of problems was pretty
much melted  cooldude

Great report and even greater seeing everyone.  I love the meet in the middle concept and we should use it more often.  Thanks Mark and Joe for getting it together.

Binkie and I made it home about 5:30 this evening, Rain from Parkersburg to Zanesville.  555 in the rain is a whole 'nother animal.

Didn't bring a camera, so no pics(evidence/proof).

I didn't get to say hello to everyone, so I guess we have to do'er agin!
