Does anyone have a shifter lever they will part with?

I am willing to buy it from you.

Another odd suggestion.
Buy a rough one on Pinwall. Then sandblast it. Then coat the whole thing with that Rhino liner spray in truck bed. It'll make it a never have to clean matt black. Problem solved.

I just remember picking one up from his table at inZane two(?) years ago, admiring it, and
looking up to see BigBF looking at me giving me the thumbs up signal.

I have a bunch of linkage stuff bolted to my shifter that makes my forward
controls go, so it would be silly to have a chrome shifter hidden under there...

In the past, BigBF would - for a reasonable fee - grind down the steel toe peg on the OEM shifter and drill/tap it to accept a Kuryakyn shifter peg.  I have this adpated to fit with the Rattlebars kick shifter (which also sports a Kury peg) - and the combination looks (and works) great!  Terry

Thanks.  I went ahead and bought a new one.  Figured if I was going to do the mod I would do it the right way.  I am going to have it shipped to my dad's and have him grind and drill it, then take it to our local chrome shop.

New means it would have no oil residue to interfere with the chrome process.

Thanks everyone.
