The three wheeled Spyder made me ask why. I asked why again after riding one.

Actually I think 4 wheels makes more sense than 3.

Reminds me of an ATV that I saw a few years ago.  The dude put what looked like 22 or 24" wheels and low profile tires on a racing ATV.

I'd like a 4wd Spyder with dif locks and a winch on the front + a low range for rock crawling. Forget the truck...I'd take my ATV Spyder hunting !

Why not????   Someone some where will want one.  He may have gotten in on the ground floor of something, who knows!  I have Spyder and love it.  To anyone that has bad ankles as I do, or has had leg or hip injuries, it keeps them in the wind.  Granted, not for everyone, but doesn't mean it won't be a great thing for someone else.  Innovation....its GREAT...look whats happened to the phone cooldude

Actually when I asked myself "why?" that is the answer I came up with. That reminds me...

I'd like to mention that Devl and Rtaz offered the CanAm to me to ride a number of times at Inzane.   I declined but not because I didn't like the CanAm and the three wheeled concept.  I had three wheels (Valk sidecar rig).

I declined because I will not ride other people's bikes.   It's something that I just can't force myself to do.  I mention this only to tell you of the generosity of Devl and Rtaz.

The CanAm eventually might be the answer for most as they age.  I well know the feeling.

If it has four wheels,...can it still be a motorcycle?

It's a crotch-car.

If it doesn't lean or can stand up on it's own then it's not a motorcycle*

*Sidecar rigs not withstanding.

If I was to do it, it would be because I couldn't ride two wheels anymore, I would not need the Goldwing quad, but the sky is the limit if it means staying in the wind. There are many alternatives to two wheels.  A convertible, to me, while nice, is not one of them. I would like to have one, though, I'm kind of a car nut, too.   Wink  Hoser

I don't care if people ride em and like em. I just have an issue with calling it a motorcycle. It ain't. But there's nothing wrong with what it is. I mean I'd rather have a convertible, but it is what it is.

And that four wheeled Goldwing has no redeeming qualities. None.
