I happened to read something the other day saying that our government printed up an "extra" $680 billion to pay off some of its bills and of course "stimulate the economy."  This is money without gold backing that is absorbed into the financial system and must cheapen the dollar against other currencies.

Being that was over 2/3rds of a trillion dollars, it got me wondering, just what does a trillion dollars look like?

3/4 of a trillion is about what Iraq has cost, and that's a conservative estimate. Some 1.25 trillion for Iraq AND Afghanistan. That's like three football fields worth of money.
