That is one of the neetest wild game vidios that I have ever watched.  I have always wondered why anyone wanted to kill a bear that was just going about his everyday business of making a living.  Sure was glad to see that bear walk away unharmed.  There was a time when I didn't feel this way.  However, I have always wanted to know why anyone would want to ride a bull for 8 seconds.  It serves no practical purpose and is a total waste of 8 seconds of one's life, even if you don't get kicked, gored, or trampled on...Jim   Grin

rode a bull once when I was about 25...at a friends practice rodeo where a bunch of guys meet and practice bull riding.  I lasted about 1/2 second from the time the gate opened....like sitting on a bench with marbles on top.....their skin moves all over the place.  Glad I did it once, had no desire to try again....amazing what a little alcohol and peer pressure will do to a fella.

Probably based on an old joke, but I've heard that poo doesn't stick to a bear's fur. If it had been me in that stand, we'd have found out.  crazy2

I've  gotta say, that was a very calm hunter. If he had acted or sounded scared he might have had to shoot it and if he was bow hunting it would have been a tough shot.

I've never hunted bear and will probably never get to but I've been told the scary part is walking in and out of your stand in the dark when you can hear a bear in the undergrowth close by.

Ive never hunted bears .. but I sure shot a lot of them.
Hell .. I even lasso'd one once for chuckles.

It's a little obvious ya don't live where a bears daily business is maiming or killing livestock and you dogs.
Nor have you lived with the risk of these "cute" little critters snatching you kids or grandkids for a lite afternoon snack.

Dont be misled by the video ... the bear wasn't scared ... it was startled ... with the opponent (the human) in a dominant upright position hovering over the bear.

Bears dont often attack in a hostile manner.
Most often they are quite calm ... such as in this video.
They will rear up or stand up on their hind feet to show dominance.
Then they will calmly and quite meticulously rip you open and start feeding on your entrails while your still alive.

As for riding bulls ... thar's a lot of folks in this world who wonder why anyone would ride a motorcycle.

Be safe
